Housed in a Chinese courtyard-style mansion, The Blue Mansion offers boutique accommodation tastefully furnished with antique fittings. Breakfast was excellent with great choice and large servings. All the staff were amazing, very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. Hotel was so full of character and so beautiful.

Noordin Mews is a boutique hotel housed in a historical building in central Penang. It offers an outdoor pool and provides free Wi-Fi throughout the building. We loved the quaint feeling of the hotel, and the attention to detail. The staff were there to cater for every need, candles lit each evening, essential oils burning in the room giving a lovely aroma, turndown service of the bed, loved the L'Occitane soap, shampoo etc in the rooms. Like that the toiletries weren't single use. The breakfast was lovely. Eve at the front desk was helpful and they give a good map/ info on the food and street art when you first arrive. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

You felt like you were stepping back in time but with all the mod cons. The high beamed ceiling was wonderful. Hosts- Nadria and Roberto know how to welcome their guests! They provided great information about the area, and added that 'personal' touch that is always missing when you book in chain hotels.. The little night time treats were an excellent touch. Terrace- A beautiful area to sit and unwind after a day of sightseeing, looking over the rooftops. Common areas- As with the rooms, the common areas are restored to an impeccable standard. Breakfast - Splendid fayre, with home made preserves and pastries and a variety of cooked options. Location- Everything is within walking distance
