Nice accommodation, really good staff and good location
The city is gorgeous and packed with good restaurants.
The city is gorgeous and packed with good restaurants. HOWEVER, there is absolutely not enough parking in its narrow cobble stone streets. I highly recommend either walking, or getting a scooter to go out for dinner.

Zakynthos is a very pretty Island. Laganas, however, is very touristy. The hotel we stayed at was very nice, but the neighborhood wasn’t particularly pretty. It’s perfect for people how enjoy nightlife though.

Zakynthos town is not very big .
Zakynthos town is not very big .
It has a fine esplanade to have a leisurely walk and admire the landscape the boats and the fine eateries along the waterfront .
Dionysiou Solomon’s Square is excellent with its large open spaces and cosmopolitan vibe. Further along Marks Square is the highlight of the town with the abundance of world- class bars ,cafes and restaurants. A stroll along here leads to the pedestrian only road of Alexandrou Roma which is vibrant and beautifully lined with interesting shopping stores and cafes.
One could stroll and see the town in a day however there are museums and places of interest one could take the time to explore longer.
Driving can be tricky around Zakynthos town as many streets are narrow.
There are car parking facilities however .We avoid driving in Zakynthos town ,we park on the outskirts and walk to our in-town destinations .
One of our favourite bars in Zakynthos town is the ‘Base’ where one can view the beauty and vibrancy of the town from a large upstairs balcony while sipping an amazing cocktail or brew .
Bochali , up high on the hill looks over Zakynthos town and is worth a visit to admire the views over Zakynthos town and also for its own interesting offerings .
All business matters can be easily accessed from town but then a visit to Zakynthos is not complete without branching off in any directions to marvel at the plefora of pristine beaches, beach cafes and green undulating countryside.
Zakynthos is an olive grove island and very ecologically minded as you will find when you seek out the local Caretta Caretta sea turtle and the dramatic cliffs , caves and resting place of the infamous Navagio shipwreck.
We love the island of Zakynthos and hope to return again and again .

It's a nice and lovely seaside town, with big squares and nice restaurants. There is a long pedestrian street with many shops and souvenirs. It has an excellent marina and the town is big enough for long evening walks.

I would definitely recommend staying In Zakinthos main part (town). We traveled a little around but lots happening here from being able to rent a boat for the day and tour the swimming coves only accessible by boat, see caves and turtles in the national park, to the massive long strip of shops with different varieties catering for all ages. Kids, teenagers and adults with cheap and very expensive stores alike. At night, the town comes alive with trendy bars, cafes and restaurants with live music in the square or Greek music at restaurants, it really is worth the stay. We only had 2 nights and regret not staying longer

Zakynthos is a fantastic island.
Zakynthos is a fantastic island. I stayed in Laganas to party during the night. But I visited the most beautifull beaches and places during the day. Snorkeling is amazing and I could easily spent weeks on the island to explore everything.
Just google the tips because there is a lot to see and there a blogs all over to tell you where to go and how to get there.
For me, the location was perfect. I so enjoyed having the water view and being able to see Zakynthos town and the coast of the Peloponnese from my balcony. The room was spacious and I appreciated having the small kitchen. Elena and her daughter were so friendly and helpful when I needed something. The walk to Zakynthos town is about 25 minutes (I walk slowly) and is very pleasant because you’re following the water the entire time. I highly recommend staying here.
Our stay in Anastasia Miramar was amazing. The hosting ladies were adorable and super helpful... in every situation ;) We had a room with a sea view - totally recommended! The apartment is a walking distance from the city centre. The hotel bar outside is very charming and gives a special vibe to this place. We might come back there again but next time with a bunch of friends to enjoy this place, and especially the seaside bar, to the fullest :)
A lovely hotel with delightful staff and attention to details. Made our stay very pleasant. The location is minutes walk from the town's walking promanade with shops and restaurants and accross the street from a lovely public beach (although stony, not sandy, but so are many of the beaches on the island). We paid extra for sea view and got to see a magnifiscent sunrise over the Greek peninsula. Highly recommend.
The shuttle service was definitely the best asset: they take you to and from the beach nearby, to and from the city centre and to and from the airport. The swimming pool is truly beautiful with sunbeds and umbrellas, sea view. Breakfast was excellent, both the food and the area, with the possibility to have it in the terrace with sea view. The man receptionist very kind and helpful, absolutely not the girl
Filoxenia is a lovely place situated about (a pleasant) twenty minutes walk from Zakynthos town and about 3km from the Airport. The countryside setting is very peaceful with nice views. The room was spacious, comfortable with all amenities and was cleaned daily. Nikos, the manager, was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable and contributed greatly to a most enjoyable stress-free week
Finding the spot was effortless, the staff was very welcoming and happy to assist at all times, while the room was also comfortable and with all the amenities required. Summer breeze could be enjoyed at the balcony, at the back side of the hotel, at all times of day. The view from the rooftop cafe/bar is phenomenal as well. Probably one of the best places to stay in the town of Zakinthos.
We stayed at the property only for one night and it was very good for what we needed. It is centrally located, just a minute from the centre of Zakynthos Town. The room was clean and comfortable enough. The staff were were friendly and helpful, it was great that we could leave our luggage for couple of cours after checking out. Overall, it was more than you could expect from a 2* hotel.
the property itself was gorgeous and really well done. it was definitely a boutique hotel with character. The staff was excellent and offered us treats when we arrived and also a bottle of wine for our honeymoon. I started feeling a little sick and they were able to go out of their way get me some chamomile tea. These little things added up to a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful stay at the Phoenix Hotel. The location was amazing and we really enjoyed the ambience of Solomos Square. The hotel is also close to everything travellers might need - i.e. supermarket, pharmacy, retail shops, bakeries and cake shops. We would definitely stay there again when visiting beautiful Zakynthos.
Our room was a great size with sofa, lovely balcony , and they gave us some complimentary wine and soft drinks. It was located right on the beach. Really recommend this lovely hotel if you want to stay away from the main strip of Laganas for a quieter sleep, the staff were lovely too!
This is a 2 stars hotel, not a 4 stars. Besides the convenient city center location, nothing is good. The hotel is slightly renovated since the 80s! Beware: no fresh water - to wash your teeth you'll need botled water! Impossible to park a car around the hotel.
Good price for a nice hotel less than 10 mins drive from the main downtown tourist area.
Room and facilities were very clean and the staff were excellent
They were taking extra precautions around covid ensuring masks were worn which was good
Fantastic. Nice big apartment with everything needed. Great location, a 10 minute walk from central Zante town. The hosts were the best part of my experience there, they are really warm, helpful kind and accommodating.
The staff was very very polite, the breakfast was good as well. Close to all the good points in the city. We got to the hotel very early and we were greeted with great hospitality which made our first day even better.
Alektor was perfect for our short stay in Zakynthos town. We stayed here for 4 nights, the position is just ideal and the apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable bed, Wi-Fi was working well.
The staff were very helpful, the location was excellent - a quiet area near the sea with very pleasant surroundings, near the shopping area and restaurants, and near the town centre, and the breakfast was good.
