Colunga is just off the coast and probably 2km to the west of Hotel Los Caspios. It is a busy, nice little town with plenty of bars and eating places. The Church dominates the centre. There are a couple of ATMs there too, but beware, they charge for withdrawing, especially Sterling to Euros.

I didn’t really know to expect but boy was l shocked , the people are great and the place was simply breathtaking. The mountain views are more beautiful then you can ever imagine. If you want peace , love and harmony come to Colunga. We had a car so found it easy to get around. Views to die for, beaches to lose your soul in .... so many beaches, didn’t know which one l liked the best... all of them ....and mountains to dream about for the next 100 years. I loved it and am coming back in the next 2 months, this will now be my holiday of choice.
Thank you Colunga, see you soon xxx♥️
This is an elegant hotel in a beautiful country location. Our room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable and the facilities functioned well. The common rooms are lovely, really quite elegant, the stone walls beautifully decorated and furnished comfortably. The terrace has views of both the coast and mountains and was a relaxing place to watch the sunset. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of delicious options. The hotel is close to the Camino del Norte.
Everything about this hotel was absolutely perfect! The staff were very friendly and kind. The hotel was quaint, charming and so adorable. Our room was so clean and unique. The breakfast was great, we had the complete breakfast which was absolutely worth it. The courtyard was perfect after a long day of walking. The milk shakes were delicious. The drinks were made so well and there were so many options! Stay here. You will not be disappointed.
Hotel was in a quiet part of town, just a few minutes walk from the centre The car park was very good for our classic car. The room was fine with all we required for an overnight stay. Wifi was good and easily accessed. Prices in the restaurant were very reasonable and the pizzas we had were very good. The waitress spoke English, which we found really helpful. The historic building in the grounds was very atmospheric.
Absolutely charming one of a kind hotel built in an old house. Every room is different. Superior breakfast (11euros) served by the incredibly efficient and gracious hostess who also checked us in, personally showed us two different rooms, allowing us to choose (small room with terrace or larger room without). Nice sheets with embroidered edges. Nice garden area. Would stay here again.
This was our third time staying at El Foyu and we still love the hotel. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are large, comfortable and with a minibar fridge.
Breakfast is exceptional with a very large choice, much of which is home cooked.
The location is quiet but within walking distance of the town. There is a restuarant on site.
This is a great place to stop during the Camino de Santiago. It is a good value for a room and bathroom to yourself in comparison with the average prices of other private rooms/hotels. The room was clean and spacious. There is also a bar downstairs with a nice pilgrim dinner (it's big enough to share).
Positives:
The hotel was nice from the inside and had about 10 free parking spots in the courtyard. The room was clean, bed comfortable, had 2 desks, 2 night stands, big closets, TV, hairdryer. No noise came from outside or neighbors.
All in all, it was an ok stay, nothing major to complain about.
Gorgeous family owned hotel. Great location on the Camino in Colunga, Asturias. Wonderful decor, lovely room. Bar and restaurant excellent and staff friendly and helpful. The cheesecake made by the son was delicious and the breakfast was our best in the Camino so far!!
Incredibly friendly staff and right off Camino de santiago. Rooms were what you would expect for a 1 star hotel, but a good value. Breakfast was 4,50 and consisted of coffee, toast, and fresh squeezed orange juice. We enjoyed our stay here. Quiet town.
we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Las Vegas, it was right on the Camino route. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the clean and comfortable. we ate at the restaurant in the evening and felt the food was good quality and value for money
Gorgeous hotel in a great location for the Camino. Kind, helpful staff. Incredible ceiling fan in the room to cool off with after a long, hot day of hiking. Close to grocery & restaurants. Good breakfast.
The hotel was adequate, but the hosts (staff) were exceptional! It was the warm and welcoming staff that made this a very pleasant and memorable stay. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Very nice setting with our own private patio. Close to the Camino in La Isla. We had a problem with the washer door and the owner came to fix it and make sure we didn’t have a problem later.
Walking the Camino. Perfect location in the centre of Colunga. Basic but clean and comfortable. Great bar café downstairs for breakfast. My 3rd time to stay and would return.
It was very quiet and peaceful the views were stunning. Beautiful old Hotel loved the furniture and sitting on the terrace with the views was gorgeous 😍
This is an absolute gem of a hotel. Set between the sea and the mountains, it has exceptional views and is very tranquil. You feel “at one” with nature.
