La ubicación y el trato del personal. Desayuno correcto.
Ribadeo is a small seaside town. Very quiet this time of the year. Easy to walk around but the town itself could be difficult for wheelchair users or people with visual or walking difficulties. Several of the footpaths are quite narrow and the kerbs are up to 30cm in height in some places. However outside the town centre, walkers should not experience any difficulties.
People are friendly and helpful. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese, and found I could manage Gallego, the local dialect, which is similar to Portuguese. This is just as well as very few people can speak more than a few words of English. I noticed that most of the reviews were from Spanish people.
You can take a local bus or walk on a boardwalk about an hour east to Praia Catedrais (Cathedral Beach), where there are spectacular rock formations where the sea has eroded the coastline. Some parts are inaccessible at high tide and there are clear signs warning that you will be fined at least €6,000 if they have to rescue you!
This time of the year, Ribadeo would be an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday.

The bedding ( pillows) could be better.
All restaurants on site were offering only drinks and because of Sunday all the kitchens were closed

The friendliness of the population has to be experienced to believe it. Not a huge town but plenty happening there. Shops and bars abound and a short walk/drive down to the sea front with restaurants to enjoy the array of fish dishes.

My first visit to Northern Spain...
My first visit to Northern Spain... Galicia, and what an absolute gem. I shouldn't really write a review as is it's not full of tourists and I like it that way!!
Amazing, rugged coastline with fantastic walkways, great for walkers but also caravanners are well catered for there... it's a touring sort of place.
Was hard to find breakfast (?) and no lunch before 1pm, nor dinner before 9pm, so plan well!!
Loved it and popped in to some charming nearby towns, no names, find your own unique way....enjoy!
Hired a car from the airport, was very cheap :)

Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities.
Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities. It has an estuary with Sea port and leisure port with waterside walks. Perhaps the main attraction is its proximity to the magnificent 'Playa des Cathedrals' a magnificent beach with numerous rock arches formed by the sea.
The room was large, and the view was exceptional! We could not get over the beauty that surrounded us from our balcony. The bathroom was an added gift having everything that you needed, large, bathtub and great lighting.
The breakfast was amazingly good, and the staff could not do enough for you. We felt like we were staying with family. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area, and we highly recommend. Such a gorgeous hotel that is beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and the owners are the warmest people!
The location was superb, right in the centre of Ribadeo on a very pretty, cobbled street with a selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. You don't have to walk far to find good food. The hotel has been extensively refurbished throughout and our room had a terrace with views (just about) of the sea. The room was very tastefully decorated, scrupulously clean, it just felt very luxurious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On street parking is easy and plentiful.
It was a clean well run hotel in the middle of know where! Not a Restaraunt in sight nearest town Ribadeo again restaurants difficult to find!. Over priced taking into account location, small rooms. Breakfast
Average but the lady in the breakfast room was very attentive indeed.
Secure outside parking 🅿️ (There’s No One around)😂
By the side of a busy road so a little noisy
(Mossy net loosely fitted)
Its a rustic old house with a mixture of furnishings which add to the charm but warm and comforting with good breakfasts. Extremely helpful owner. Its on the outskirts of Ribadeo but walking distance to town centre and less than 5 minutes to the train station. Off street parking if required but you can walk around their garden in this very quite neighbourhood of town.
Overall, you felt at home.
This boutique hotel was amazing! The location was perfect - right in the main square. The accommodations were very modern within an old building with brick interior accents and super high ceilings - the decor was great, combining the old with the new. The breakfast was exceptional and the service provided by Lordes (I hope I got your name right!) was fantastic!
The apartment was centrally located, convemient for shops, restaurants and bars, with private parking (a bit tight for a big car, but manageable). It was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well-equipped, to standards that would not shame a 5-star hotel. The host, Javier, was very helpful in answering our few questions. We would happily stay there again.
It was a like a hotel and more. There were all kinds of toiletries, medicine. Plus some basic food and snacks. Even bath robes and slippers. The hosts thought of everything. I have never stayed in a place where there was obvious thought and care about the well being of the guest.
Henri, the manager, went above and beyond what you could ever expect from a hotel manager, to ensure, I had the best possible stay after a hike on Camino del Norte and that I was ready for the upcoming day!
Hats of to Henri - thank you 💪🏻
Very clean, roomy, fully equipped and comfortable apartment. The checkin process was smooth, courteous and friendly. The checkout process was a breeze. Worthy of a repeat stay when we visit the Ribadeo area. I recommend it.
This parador met all of our expectations. The staff was wonderful and helpful and assisted with our arrangement to see Playa Catedrales. Our room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
The women at the reception welcomed us warmly. The apartment was very spacious and the interior design was old-style, traditional. It is nicely located in the nature with the beaches and Ribadeo close by.
Great location, easy access to all of Ribadeo's many restaurants, a 15-minute walk to the harbor/marina area, very nice staff, many conveniences. The nicest cafe of all of the cities we visited.
Wonderful location and staff. The breakfast was one of my best in Spain in 6 weeks of travel. Home made. Very welcoming staff.
Great recommendation for lunch near by.
