The house was very special and historic and spotless. The host was warm and provided a gorgeous feast for the morning breakfast. A gem in the deep countryside.

Amazing casa in a beautiful location in the forest, with pastoralic view and water stream next to it. The house is cozy with balcony to relax in. The owner was super nice and made us feel like home. Would definitely recommend staying there!

Great experience staying here! Very old house (originally from the XI century, according to the owner), beautifully restored and decorated with antiques and sculptures. Very pleasant, friendly and helpful owner. Excellent location to discover the many quaint villages and beaches of Basque Country.

I can't begin to relay what an unbelievable experience my wife and friends had at Jose Angel' place. The pictures don't do justice to this stunning house beautiful property and surrounding paradise. We only wish we had more time there. As for the host, he is the epitome of Basque hospitality, preparing every day delicious breakfast, taking care of all our needs, instantly answering all our questions and providing useful tips & suggestions. We can't recommend this home enough and hope we get the opportunity to return one day.

There is a great deal to like about the Casa Rural Garro. The house is very, very old and quite beautiful. The owner, Angel, has maintained it very lovingly. The rooms are spare but comfortable and air conditioned. The kitchen is spotless and has everything you could need to provide meals. Angel is a great baker and makes a new cake every day for breakfast which he then leaves out for his non breakfasting guests to have as they wish. The house is in a beautiful setting in the hills with a lovely stream running past it. There is a big leafy terrace which is utterly delightful. Remarkably there were no mosquitoes but lots of birds. Angel is a perfect host. Despite facing a serious family sadness while we were staying he still took good care of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay.

Casa rural garro is incredible! I would honestly recommend going out of your way to get there, as it’s such a unique experience. The building is very old and beautiful, with an amazing terrace from which we read and listened to nature around us. Nearby there is a stream with a waterfall where you can swim- amazing. And a beautiful walk you can do down the Camino to a nearby monastery. What made our stay really special was our host, who was so kind, and also fascinating to talk to. He was incredibly generous, making incredible breakfasts and offering endless cakes for us to try. On our last day he drove us to the bus stop which was really lovely of him. We would love to go back!
