This hotel is a good choice for business people on a budget - Not really very suitable for Tourists since it is far from any beaches. It is clean, very cheerful atmosphere and well prepared food albeit somewhat limited in choices - Overall it is very good value for money consifdering options of going to the next level.

Freetown has everything, it’s busy and alive.

Freetown has everything, it’s busy and alive. Good food and very nice hills. Plenty of transportation and stores stocked with whatever you need. Endless activities, people are poor but they are happy and nice. I came during the COVID Pandemic and the States were doing a great job of providing sanitation measures to prevent spreading germs. I felt welcome to explore but obviously I stick out more because not a lot of people were traveling. I loved the beaches the most!! Any street or restaurant food in Aberdeen beach area seemed pretty good. I went to Roys and Jeseka.. on Wilkerson rd the Basha bakery restaurant is a must try!! Good shopping area! Still, nothing like a good home cook meal. Hey

    Freetown is safe--really!--and friendly.

Freetown is safe--really!--and friendly. The people are what make this a good place to travel to. Very warm and helpful and not intrusive (almost no asking for handouts). The city is crowded, noisy, dusty, and often dirty. But it has a hectic charm that grew on me. The proximity to amazing beaches is a plus. There is not all that much to see in Freetown itself unless you are interested in history, and the number one site outside of the city (Bunce Island) is ridiculously difficult and expensive to access.

Interesting layout on many hills which I didn't expect.

Interesting layout on many hills which I didn't expect. Surprised there has apparently only been one deadly mudslide so far. I suspect the city grows on one after a while but for a couple of days visit it is very congested and difficult to get around.

I've been to Freetown several times since 2004.

I've been to Freetown several times since 2004. Over these "post war" years I have seen great improvement in the infrastructure and the creation of new business. The major roads are very good and continued to be improved. The people of Freetown and throughout Sierra Leone are very friendly and helpful.
