Nice folks, best breakfast over a 3 week journey, room fine, location great for Alpe-Adria hikers like us, close to museum
We did not eat dinner with them but was likely great based on breakfast. Instead we went just across the road from the apartment entrance to a fabulous restaurant

The hosts Lidija and Vinko are the most welcoming accommodating and caring people. We were greeted with homemade cake and lemonade. The hosts don't speak English, but communication was not an issue, Lidija uses Google translate and whatsapp
The apartment is immaculately clean, every little detail is thought of. Great location. We would love to come back
Kobarid was great. A wonderful market with everything you could ever need and lots of lovely local specialities. A great place to do base yourself for hiking and also get to Bovec for white water rafting. Hisa Planica is in Dreznica above Kobarid. A lovely little village with great walks to beautiful waterfalls, wonderful views, the best hosts. The drive up to Dreznica is fairly winding, fine for my husband and sons, but at times I needed to close my eyes.

Naturally blessed area and a very clean town.
Naturally blessed area and a very clean town. There are a lot of water or mountain related activities that can be done around the town. There are places were food is more than great(Hisa Polonka or Kotlar) located in the center of the town.

Nice town, we liked especially cycling near Soca river.
Nice town, we liked especially cycling near Soca river. Beautiful views. We were eating in Soca Pizza Restaurant, really good pizzas, we also saw other restaurants, but Soca was always open so this was our place :).
We were on bikes, but we saw many people with hiking gear, and according to map there are a lot of hiking trails.

Loved everything about Kobarid.
Loved everything about Kobarid. It is quaint and while there are tourists coming and going, it doesn’t feel like a tourist town/trap (which is how Bovec seemed to me). The homes in town are lovely and well maintained. I got the sense that people took a lot of pride in living there. The town itself is beautiful. You can go out and see/do so many things if you use Kobarid as a “home base” and go out to nearby points of interest. I walked the Historic Trail, went kayaking, went rafting, and visited waterfalls. I only spent 2 nights in Kobarid and then 1 night in Bovec. I wish I had spent 3 in Kobarid and skipped Bovec the town altogether. I could not get dinner at any restaurant in Bovec- very few places serve food and the two places I went to said they were booked for the night, yet most tables were open. Meanwhile, in Kobarid, I walked into the loveliest restaurant at 8:30 pm and was treated to a table and exceptional service. The place was busy- always a good sign- and the person who served my partner and I treated us like we were regulars. He may have been the owner by how knowledgeable and attentive he was. Hisa Polonka is the restaurant and I highly recommend it. The following night I was tired and just got pizza from a local hostel. Different experience from Hisa Polonka, but the pizza was also good and for 8 euro it was a good deal. Kobarid also has beautiful views. You can’t go wrong staying in Kobarid for a few days.

Kubarid is a little village (or town?)
Kubarid is a little village (or town?) placed in the middle of the Suca valley, a perfect location to visit the highlights offered in the area. I recommend at least two days for hikes in the surroundings and enjoying the beautiful nature pearls there.
What a great hostel and friendly owners, well equipped, amazing kitchen with everything a modern kitchen should have and beautiful, clean bathrooms, multiple toilet stalls.
Quiet rooms with bunk beds, which offer more privacy when closing the curtain and a good night sleep even if someone turns the light on. Each bed has a power outlet, light and a small locker to store valuables. There's even a terrace outside to hang out.
Would recommend and will definitely visit again when in Kobarid!
I tried to find something fast with private bathroom. When we saw first time this room, we were positively surprised. It is like new. The bathroom is solid (nothing moves that shouldn't) and clean. Room size is good too. It looks better than rooms that we paid much more. Host is friendly and know a lot about places near this hotel. There are many beautiful places in that area that impressed us more than Munich or Venice. I will definitely want to come back to this place in the future.
A spacious and well-equipped (from water cooker to laundry machine) apartment in a quiet small village near Kobarid (4 km), a fifteen-minute walk above the beautiful Nadiza river (perfect for your daily walk and/or swim). Anders and Jane seem to be gradually turning this place into their second home - the best is yet to come!
The description and pictures on Booking show the apartment exactly as it is. Communication with Anders and the local housekeeper was smooth and friendly.
Apartment is located in a central place in Kobarid. Our room was just as described; cozy with large bed, cute furnishings and equipped with everything you need. Marie is very nice host, always smiling and available and there is not a problem if you need anything. You can hike/cycle directly from the property. Free parking is about 2 minutes from the house.
We highly recommend Marie’s fantastic breakfast in the garden!!
The little hut we stayed in is situated in the green mountains near Kobarid. It is suuuuuper calm, the nature is beautiful, there is a small waterfall nearby. We absolutely loved it! Lidija and Vinko are so friendly and kind, we got a fresh lemonade and drinks upon arrival and even some cake to enjoy. They are super friendly! I would always come back - everything was perfect!
The apartment is spacious and everything is still quite new. it has everything you need including a Dolce Gusto machine for coffee lovers. It is close to shops, restaurants, companies that organize adventurous activities and a nice self-service fresh ice cream shop. It is just a few steps from the Kobarid Historical Trail, should you want to explore that.
Loved the apartment!!!!
Place was excellent quality!!
Loved having 2 balconies and a shutter to make the bedroom dark and quiet for sleeping.
Loved that the lady who checked us in was very professional, was wearing a mask properly, and also asked to see proof of our Covid vaccination.
Only place that did that in Slovenia in our 1 mo stay.
The apartment is in a small town next to a farm yard. There is a common outdoor kitchen and garden area which all guests can use. The apartment was well equipped with own kitchen and had basics like salt, pepper.. The view from the living room in our apartment was nice. You can see the church in Kobarid. There is free parking.
Apartment Alvarium is a large, clean apartment that is an excellent value and very well located for a visit to the Soca Valley. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. Everything was very clean and in working order and the view over Kobarid from the terrace was lovely. This is a perfect apartment for a large family.
The apartment is 5 minutes by car from Kobarid in a silent calm village and also walking distance from the Soca river (great private shore).
Our hosts were lovely, though they don't speak English we could communicate using Google translate.
The apartment was good value for its price with the needed equipment for cooking.
We enjoyed staying there. The house is located in a calm place of Kobarid with own parking places. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped and maybe it sounds kinda funny, but we really appreciated enough of toilet paper 😀, it happens a lot, that we have to buy us some more, but not in here! 👍🏼😊
Beautiful apartment, you wake up with a mountain view. We also had a terrace with nice view. There is a sauna and shared space with coffee machine. The owners are very nice.
From the apartment you can start a nice walk and see slap Kozjak and Kobarid, with beautiful stops along the river.
Spacious and clean hotel room with big bathroom. Located in the town center, eating places all close by. The room was on the road side, although not a lot of noise came in, light sleepers maybe want to use earplugs. Curtains blocked light reasonably well. There was no fridge in the room.
The apartment was modern and clean. It was stocked with everything we needed. The host was warm and welcoming. The location was excellent for all the Soca River attractions. There were nice restaurants in walking distance.
The room was very big and the beds comfortable. The location in the center of Kobarid is convenient to go around in the area; specially to visit Tolmin Gorge, which is a must. The gratis parking is great and really convenient.
Very close to the river just few minutes walk. Also Kobarid is very near. Quiet place, not on the main road.
Whole apartment is precisely renovated local building with great atmosphere.
The apartment was very comfy, clean and quiet. We got lots of recommendations for our stay in kobarid as well as for the further trip through slovenia. Would definitely book again :)
