I loved sitting and enjoying the view on the seafront, and also walking on the lovely long promenade that stretches all the way to the next town along the coast!
Zarautz is a lovely, quiet place and we had a really good time there. We are vegetarians and finding veg food is a big challenge in this part of Spain where every bar and restaurant has pintxos - all with meat or fish in them except the potato omelette!! By this time we had overdosed on the potato omelette and it was such a relief to come across Taberna Euskalduna where the enthusiastic staff gave us a delicious veg dinner at 7pm (most restaurants only open their kitchens at 8pm which is later than the dinner time we are used to!)

Zarautz is gorgeous with the promenade parallel to the beach. The beach is filled with activities and was our favourite place to spend the daytime. We enjoyed a beautiful hike to the picture spot 'Mollarriko begiralekua' and another to Getaria. Zarautz is a lovely town with plenty of places to eat and go for drinks in the evenings. Our favourites were a grill bar called Aka'ula (lots of GF options) and Hotel Alameda. Beautiful San Sebastian is just half an hour bus journey away, however, I would plan the buses in advance as arriving at the bus stop can mean waiting there for over an hour for the right bus to not turn up.

Thé hotel was excellent value for money.
Thé hotel was excellent value for money. Everything was clean and of a good quality. Staff were helpful and welcoming. It is close enough to walk to the old time where there are some excellent bars and restaurants.
Two points to improve the hotel . The windows do not have any safety features and could be dangerous especially for small children. We did point this out to the reception but the response was indifferent. The arrangements for breakfast need to be clarified so that you understand if you are having a continental or full breakfast.

Very pleasant seaside resort, easy to navigate and most places are within walking distance from the centre, very good public transport links too should you want to go further into the surrounding area.beach spotless, well run and safe. Long stretch of sand, plenty of room for both lounging or watersports. Good selection of restaurants, cafes, surf shops, beach supply kiosks and bars. All quite tasteful. Away from the beach there are so many interesting and historical buildings, winding narrow streets, parks, well worth a stroll as each corner turned throws up something unexpected. A good place to unwind.

Very good place to relax with fun :) Food in town is not extraordinary but very descent (a bit expensive for what it is :) ) a good search and try is needed to find memorable food. Other way lots of fun with the beach and ocean. Very good place to start learning surf cause the wave are not too big and it is on sand.
Overall I recommande the place especially with kids .
Be aware that the golf course is for licenced player only.
Everything!! The staff in this hotel go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay in the hotel. We arrived on bicycles, before midday, tired and expecting just to leave bags. We were offered water, a place to store the bikes, information to repair a bike issue and they provided a room before check-in time. The rooms are very big, brand new, very modern, super comfortable, location is ideal....I could go on. The best stay of our 2 week trip!
Excellent location and very friendly staff! Hotel is located in a plaza, fortunately I had an interior room as there was a big festival going on. I am walking the Camino and this served as a great place to stay. No frills but all I needed was a shower and a bed. A big plus is they have AC. Not far from the beach but I had no use of that. The bed was comfortable. Grocery store not far. It is a great value! I would recommend!
Excellent hotel, we were very satisfied with our family room. All the staff in the hotel is helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, clean, spacious and they have nice play areas for kids. The hotel is good located close to everything you need and close to the beach. Moreover it is quiet and we slept very well. We extended our stay with 4 days and like to come back.
the location is good, nice 7-8 min stroll to the old town. the hotel is in a quiet residential area. The host is very friendly, greeted us warmly and helped with lots of local information.
the room is ok size, enough space to open suitcases. it has a beach view from the veranda and bathroom.
Super convenient for walking the camino, grocery store located upstairs in same building complex. Well organized shared kitchen, super clean , comfy bed-pods with crisp sheets - friendly owners + upbeat vibe for younger surfers and walkers, mixed dorms and bathrooms/showers
Very nice hotel, with very friendly staff. Well located - a short walk to the beach. The room was nice and cozy with comfortable bed and air conditioning. I liked the breakfast - the choice of food was good. I think it’s a great place to stay when in Zarautz.
Very clean, new and stylish. A little expensive but then the town and region is expensive and so relatively the value was quite good compared to other hotels in town especially as facilities were good. Very clinical but efficient
Right on the camino path and located just as you come into zarautz. Manager/ owner was very helpful. Cafe beside hostel was really convenient and served nice food. About a 10 minute walk to the amazing beach
We had a perfect overnight stay in the lovely agroturismo Argoin Txiki (Zarautz). If you’re ever near, you should definitely check it out. Thanks for the good care and perfect breakfast, Naroa andereñoa!
everything really. A prime location. bunk beds were super comfortable and big. solid facilities for surfing and what goes around it. the cherry on top, the let you get skateboard for free.
the apartment is very cozy and well equipped, right in the center of Zarautz and beside the beach. Good internet. The host is super helpful and accomodating, i would definitely recommend!
Basic clean hotel. We were shown all the amenities which included common kitchen/salon but we didn't use it. As a basic hotel room, this served all our needs and was close to the beach.
