Location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from Kawasaki station and nearby shops like Don Quijote, should you need anything last minute. Beds are unique compared to other hotels. Rooms are small but that is mostly the norm with some hotels in Japan. There isn't much of a view but the room's uniqueness and modern design makes up for it. Only stayed one night but recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to explore Kawasaki area further.

It's not a beautiful city, but it's lively and convenient for visiting Tokyo and Yokohama. Some good shopping around the station area. A great safe nightlife with lots of places to eat (mainly yakiniku and yakitori – though it would have been possible to eat vegetarian)..

Kawasaki seems far but is really 1 stop from Shinagawa on the express trains which runs frequently. 4 stops on the regular train. It's just across from the Tamagawa river which separate Tokyo from Kanagawa.

A decent new hotel in great location next to big hub of public transportation (get on the right rapid train and you can get from Shimbashi station (Ginza) back to hotel within 14min) and huge mall. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. I’ll return so many times to Japan due to how wonderful Japan is, and the people. Especially at this hotel: at check in I mistakenly paid JPY300K instead of JPY30K but Mr. Kikuchi at reception kindly gave me back ¥270K. I was and I am soo impressed and thankful to Mr. Kikuchi 🙏. Then at check out I forgot my iPad in the room. When I came back in the evening to get my stored suitcase, the hotel returned it to me while I still didn’t know I’ve left it in room. Thank you so much to the housekeeper of my room. Staff performance at Metropolitan Kawasaki deserve all the brightest stars in the sky 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Kawasaki is pretty peaceful considering how close it is to the big city. I had a local craft beer served by the very brewer, the local izakayas and ramen shops all seemed friendly and delicious. I would happily go back, for more beer and ramen.

One of the great place to stay, not too far from HND airport, shopping malls, restaurants, discount stores convenience store, etc. It is easy to reach by any train either JR Kawasaki or Keikyu Kawasaki.
Service is great
They provide extra amenities such as towels, cups and yukata on the next day even though i didn't ask for it.
The tv system interface is exceptional. You will get all kinds of information regarding hotel facilities, check in/out time, video on demand (I like this VOD stuff 😉) and also all tv programs across Japan. You wanna extend your check out time? No problem, just use the tv remote and click to extend by hours (1000yen/hour). You just need to pay during check out later. EASY!
The drop-down projector screen was awesome, and the folding bed was comfortable. Perfect place to watch movies in comfort after a long day of travel. Food options surrounding the hotel were great. And the food at the hotel itself was very tasty. The drinks at the bar were well mixed and nice. You really never had to leave the hotel if you didn't want to. If you wanted to go somewhere, it's located Perfect. The train station was very nearby. It's all around a luxury experience at a low price.
Super clean and staff were incredibly helpful!
The green philosophy was wonderful and the hotel is gorgeous. The free shuttle for Haneda airport and Kawasaki was so useful and allowed us to enjoy our time in the area without worrying about being unfamiliar with public transport. The staff were so patient with us when we struggled with Japanese and helped us send our luggage to our next hotel in Tokyo with no hassle. 10/10 stay - we would love to come back!
Located about 5 minutes walk from Keikyu-Kawasaki Station (10 minutes for JR Kawasaki Sta.) easy transport from/to Yokohama, around 30 minutes trip depending on the train types. A Food + Shopping Street is located infront of Keikyu-Kawasaki Station. A 7-Eleven is located within a 'very-close' proximity from the hotel, <1 minute walk.
Expected standard from APA Group where comfort, convenience and reachability is at maximum.
Location is exceptional with direct access from the Kawasaki station which is well connected with Tokyo station. Station is connected by a footbridge - a 3 minutes walk.
There are convenient stores and many eating places in the station.
Although the hotel is next to busy railway tracks, absolutely no train noice came in.
Room is clean though bit small by SE Asian hotel standards, it is quite comfortable.
This is probably not the newest hotel in Kawasaki but that doesn't affect its service quality...
Affordable price, clean and quiet room, very friendly and helpful staff, accessibility of additional services (such as laundromat) and a great location near the rail and bus station (only 5 min of walk).
They also offer to keep your luggage after the checkout, until you leave town.
Definitely a great stay.
The location is great, few minutes walk to the train station, which is 20 mins to Tokyo station, <15 mins to Yokohama and <15 mins to Haneda airport. This makes the hotel a strategic location for those who don't want to stay in a tiny and expensive hotel in Tokyo.
The room size is quite good for center of Japanese cities standard, and especially for Tokyo, for a relatively affordable price
The interior of the hotel looks new and clean and the location is close to the train station, grocery stores, and a shopping center. There is an area where you could work in the lobby with a free coffee machine. The desk in the room is relatively large compared to most business hotels even with a small room. So there is also no problem working in the room. Good for business travelers.
The location is close to the train station, grocery stores, and a shopping center. The bed is comfortable and there is a relatively large desk, compared to most business hotels, for working or just putting your stuff. Check-in time is 14:00 and the check-out time is 11:00, which is better than most hotels with a similar price.
Dormy Inn is my favorite chain in Japan. I love its relaxing onsens and all the extra perks you get. Our room is spotless and comfortable. The staff was nice and very helpful. A real bonus is 7-11 that’s connected to the hotel so you never want for snacks or meals.
This hotel is located near the Haneda airport, and provides a shuttle to the various national and international flight terminals, making my flight out of Japan extremely painless.
The hotel seemed very new, and seemed to be designed for flights in and out of HND.
This hotel is very close to Kawasaki JR station and also Keikyu Kawasaki station where convenient to get to Haneda Airport line. In addition, there are a lot of different types of shops and restaurants near by. The hotel room is also super clean.
I like the superb location very much. It is only 5 minutes walk to Kawasaki Station. We can buy any daily needs in the mall near the hotel. The housekeeping staff is good. She did cleaning well.
I get the room with city view...that is great...
When you walk from JR Kawasaki Station towards La Cittadella, you'll find a capsule hotel tucked away towards the back. Inside, there's a large communal bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna, which I think is more than enough for a solo trip.
Staff very friendly and accomodating to our issues. Issues were caused by my miscalculations, not the hotels. Breakfast was delicious, offered variety of Eastern and Western cuisine. Room abit small but massage chair was a great amenity.
Staff went above and beyond to make the stay memorable
Hotel is very close to Kawasaki station, literally 3 mins walk
We stayed at the highest floor, views were good
Cleaning staff on point
I will return back
Loved this hotel! Very well thought through facilities, beautiful onsen and the little touches such as the free ice-cream, Yakult and noodles make this an exceptional stay.
