Interruptions with light happen, but the generator immediately turns on. Breakfast buffet, varied and delicious.

Only needed an overnight stay in Mandalay. The hotel staff was attentive. They also helped me with a tuk tuk ride across town for dinner & a personal private transfer to Bagan with the hotel manager & a driver - which was extremely helpful especially during this time with many foreigner restrictions. The breakfast was abundant, served with several local dishes. Roof top & its view was a bonus. Had a double corner view of the city from my 9th floor room which was clean, comfortable & safe. Sufficient for one night for all my needs!

Kaung Myint Hotel is set in Mandalay's China Town area, a short walk from Mandalay Railway Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. The hotel manager spent few hours with us driving around the city to find my lost phone. This is not simply a good service, but an act of real kindness from the bottom of the heart to another person, and that is priceless! In general the whole hotel team (front desk team, restaurant team, housekeeping team) took good care of us during the whole stay. As well a member of the family that owns the hotel stayed there at the same time we did and he made sure with us that we are satisfied with everything. We never received such careful and attentive service in any place. The room was more specious than we expected (maybe we got upgraded and didn't know it) and very clean. Would definitely stay here if I come again to Mandalay!
