The gulf of California is super clean and much warmer than the Pacific. Entirely different body of water and I once read that it's the second cleanest large body of water on Earth. They don't have industry, agriculture and very little population. Pleasant, quiet beaches. The water temp was perfect. Excellent seafood. Huge shrimp and fab flounder, etc, arrive into the port daily. You can get fab street food from cart vendors downtown or a 5 star gourmet restaurant. Plenty of great eateries. I got excellent dental care at a fraction of the US cost. Feels very safe in general. Nice people. You can stay in a glitzy tower, or humble local home and everything in between. The crossing at Lukeville rarely takes more than 5-10 minutes and the road is good. Coming home, I saw a free tourist highway assistance truck on the side of the highway. The California/Yuma crossing is much much busier and the road has a lot of potholes.

Rocky Point as it is known in the US, is a very nice place to go if you want to use your ATV or other type of off road vehicles. You can also use the beaches, as the locals are making them cleaner or going camping on your RV is also a nice thing to do. The rest of the place is Mexico as usual, some roads are still dirt like, the stop signs are hard to see so, drive slow if you don't want a citation, (Mordida) but, the food is very good, in most restaurants or at any hole in the wall places. The location of the Hotels is great but, getting to them is a bit crazy, I wish all the Hotels and the local government would invest in making the roads much better to drive and better lighting.

First time vacationing there.
First time vacationing there. It was great I have been other places many time over the years. But never been to Puerto Penasco. Reminded me of the Mexico from when we started going years ago. The people were so friendly everywhere we went.

Really great toursit town!
Really great toursit town! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. It can be confusing to get to the beach though if you are not staying at one of the beach resorts. There is parking located for toursit who do not stay at the beach front hotels but its poorly advertised.

I’ve been to Puerto Penasco several times over the last 10 years. I usually don’t travel there over Holiday weekends due to long waits at the border and the crowds. I was there this past Labor Day weekend & was surprised that there wasn’t as many people as I expected. We also got to the border going into MX at 9:30am on Fri. morning & only waited 20 mins. Also got to border coming back into US at 7:30am on Labor Day & had only 15 min wait. I love the Sea but Puerto Penasco continues to get more expensive every year!
Amazing condo with beautiful views. It is located right on the beach with a heated pool right in front of the condo and just a few steps to the beach. The host was amazing to work with and answered all my questions quickly. I travel to Puerto Penasco and have stayed at the Princesa resort many times. This is the first time I have stayed in this condo and this is the only condo I will stay in for all future trips. Clean and comfortable with everything I needed for my stay.
I like this hotel very much. The front desk is very nice. It is closed to the beach, and not too far from the downtown. I agree that the water pressure of the shower is not very strong, but it is acceptable for only one person showering. The water is not very hot, but as I visited there in winter, it is fine if you turn on the heater. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the price and the quality.
The attention was amazing. We wanted a room a little bit closer to the beach and they did what they could to help us have the best time there. Additionally, after our check out, we had an accident on the road to Mexicali and they were really helpful by providing us several options of towing companies in Puerto Peñasco. We are so grateful for what they did. I recommend a lot to stay there.
The location was central to everything. Most good and local restaurants are within a 5-7 minute drive. There is Playa Mirador beach walking distance from the hotel. You can drive less than 10 minutes to Playa Bonita. The staff at The Cove are super sweet and helpful. We will be back, this was one of the best quick getaways!
Away from the crowded beaches of Puerto Peñasco. This condo was clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. Beds were so comfortable and there is a new restaurant called Mojitos at the property right next door. Little tide pools to explore and if the waves get too rough, there’s plenty of space in the 3 swimming pools.
Everything about this apartment was AMAZING , super easy to book , the owner was available 24/7 and was quick at texting back . I love our stay here , clean comfortable bed , all the utensils , I literaly felt like I was home !!! this will definitely be our go to when we visit Rocky Point again .
The most beautiful hotel in town. The hotel’s gracious manager, Ari, did an outstanding job in painting and decorating the place. And it is perfectly located near “The Strip,” Pink Cadillac restaurant and Manny’s Beach Club. Casa Victoria is a true jewel of Rocky Point.
Very nice place to stay
It’s has everything you need for comfortable stay
Will definitely check this place out next time we go visit puerto peñasco.
This was our first time and we had a good experience
Definitely will recommend this place to family and friends ☺️
The breakfast is omelette or scrambled or over easy eggs. The buffet has chilly meat, chiqillas, yogurt, fruit, fruit drinks, coffee, and other Mexican food items. It cost $14 all inclusive buffet. The restaurant staff provide great customer service.
Second time at this property, I knew pretty much what to expect. First stay was in a 2br with water view, walk down to beach. Second stay only 1 night in the hotel/king bed need to drive to restaurant and beach areas.
Like this hotel, clean and comfortable beds. You can hear everything from the room next to you. Not so good when you hear the people next to having sex all night long, just saying. This hotel has a great location!
The location was great, it wasn't too noisy. The place was clean and had a great view. It had a good location on the beach so you could walk basically all the way across Puerto Penasco and back in a couple hours.
The room were are in had a beautiful ocean view. The facilities in the hotel were really good. I liked the buzz and vibe in the hotel and the beach adjacent is super cool.
