They say people make the place, it could not be more true at Villa Kayola. Jimmy & his wife Maya were the most gracious and hospitable hosts we have found across the last 10 countries we have visited. Not only was Jimmy able to find us a car when we had lost all hope, but he cooked us a fantastic dinner on our last night there. The View from Villa is amazing and the location is brilliant. The facilities in the Room were also amazing and our sleep most comfortable. This place is perfect if you go as a group of friends. If there is one compelling factor that would make me want to visit Seychelles again it would be the hospitality of this kind host. I've made a good friend and will definitely recommend a stay here.
Anse aux Pins (1.5 miles from Seychelles International Airport)
The Reef Palm is located 3.1 mi from Seychelles International Airport and 20 minutes’ walk from Reef Beach. It offers an air-conditioned bedroom, a terrace, and a kitchen. The owners are very kind and prepared for us a warm welcome with a fruit platter, drinks and an air-conditioned room. The kitchen was excellently equipped and the wifi was decent. It is very quiet at night and it was here that we had the best sleep among all acommodations in Seychelles. They also offered us to use a washing machine. We enjoyed having our meals at the terrace. They keep a guest book since 2013 and it is full of positive reviews written by their guests. It was such a nice gesture that the owner treated us for dinner on our last day there. Many thanks indeed. As for the location, there are frequent buses to Victoria just by the main road, maybe 10 to 15 min walk from the property. The Takamaka distillery and the crafts village can be reached on foot (30-40 min) or by bus very easily.

Marie-Aline, the owner of MARL Self Catering was very helpful and kind. She drove me to the supermarket and Eden Island for free. The apartment was very clean, well decorated and equipped as well as spacious. The location is very quiet, the planes do not make any disturbance. Very close to a bus stop going to Mahé and also a nice little beach only 5 minutes by bus. I highly recommend MARL.
Coming to Seychelles, visiting the West Cost is a MUST. Easy access to Anse Soleil Beach, Intendance, Anse Royal and Port Launay. There are near a Bio Diversity Center, Tea Tavern, Port Launay and Cap Ternay Marine Park, Water Fall, Horse Riding, Diving Centers and Casino.
Stayed 14 nights, didn't realise you had no where to walk in the evening for an after dinner stroll, no bars or restaurant s you can go to, so once dark at around 6ish you are stuck, not that we want to party but literally nothing, so you are stuck in the villa every evening as the roads are so dangerous with no pavements and the local buses stop and taxis are very very expensive.
Beautiful small island - not overcrowded. You can live here in relative quiet and enjoy nature. Snorkelling paradise - several places with beautiful corals around the cost - easily accessible from the beach, do not need a boat. Beautiful corals and lot of fish. Possibility to borrow kayaks and explore the area between several small islands Marine Park Reserve consists of.
Eden Island is a beautiful well maintained resort. It is family friendly and has a lot of dining options. The Spar is very handy and is well stocked. The beaches on Eden Island are private and not open to the public. The golf carts make it very easy to get around the resort. The resort has tennis courts, a gym and various activities. The views of the mountains, ocean and marina are tranquil and exceptional.
Everything is good except Food. Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue. Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.
