On this tour you’ll explore the Marble Trail in Vila Viçosa and get to know the marble industry in detail. You’ll visit a local quarry where you’ll discover how the marble is extracted using machinery and learn of the dangers faced by workers. Afterwards you’ll visit a sawmill and construction sites where you’ll witness the artisanal and manual transformation of marble .
