Whole area is stunning. with beautiful scenery everywhere you look. and it is not too touristy which is nice. it has beaches - sandy beautiful beaches and lots of mountains to climb. Something for everyone - as in my family me and the kids love beaches and my husbands mountains. You can be very active if you like (hiking, climbing, canyoning, kayaking, caving, biking etc) or really relax as the area is quiet and serene. We have been lucky with the weather - it was warm, sometimes hot, some sun and clouds, but no rain. it is not as hot as south spain - which I thought was a bonus. But we did have a very hot day at the beach.

The hotel premises are marvelous, decorated with taste and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Most of all, the hotel managers Paula, Sonia and Andoni as well as the staff are most accommodating and friendly. Having breakfast while listening to tastefully selected jazz classics was a treat. Upon returning from my hikes I loved the fresh smell in my room left by its daily cleaning.

The whole place is just a marvel. I think that the best thing about our stay here, however, was the incredible hospitality Paula gave us - she is an amazing host and manager. The facility and the room itself were very clean and it was a nice surprise to have a bottle of water and a sweet treat waiting in the room for you. While there is no reception, the check-in process was rather simple and straightforward. Overall, a decent stay while stopping over in Colombres.

Paula, our host, rang us to say the hotel was not in the Camino but just a short taxi ride away and she arranged for a taxi to take us back to the same point the next day. Great personal service and much appreciated.
