The location is great; it is very close to the lake and restaurants. Parking is available, including in the underground garage (extra payment). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hot chocolate in the bar was very good and also breakfast was good.

The owner is very friendly and working hard to help in everything. The location is beautiful, with a very nice garden overlooking the lake. A small waterfall crosses the garden itself.

The hotel was nice enough, the parking was a bit tight, and the room was really small. I guess I didn't realize that 17 sq. meters is really small for a hotel room. It was adequate, however, and the balcony means that the view is spectacular; right across from the Isola dei Pescatori. I had expected a mini fridge, but all we had was a plastic thing about the size of a cooler. The AC worked great, once they fixed a part that had allowed it to drip water all over the floor. Breakfast was OK. Overall a reasonably good value.

The town Baveno is beautiful without any doubt! It has nice parks, architecture and magnificent views of Lake Maggiore and the Alps.
Unlike Stresa, the town is not crowded with tourists.
From Baveno there is a very fast and very convenient transport to the Borromean Islands, and the port has much fewer travelers than those in Stresa.
From Baveno there is transport to other beautiful towns on Lake Maggiore, such as Stresa, Verbania, Locarno, Cannobio and Laveno.
If you don't speak Italian and aren't traveling by car, you should definitely visit the Tourist Information Center in Baveno, where you may get help about your trip to other towns on Lake Maggiore. Without help from the people in Information Center, you could experience very serious difficulties and waste a lot of time due to following:
1. If you do not speak Italian you may encounter serious difficulties communicating with the locals.
2. Public transport by train or bus can be very problematic.
3. A delay of 40 minutes is common for buses. Sometimes bus drivers pass some of the stops without stopping!
4. Trains can be very late or not arrive at all due to strikes, repairs or sudden changes in the schedule.
5. Baveno lacks a bus station and you can't buy bus tickets anywhere else but from the bus driver, and the drivers don't speak English and charge you extra because you buy tickets in the bus, which is a catch-22!
Some streets in the town lack sidewalks, which is a problem if you're not traveling by car.

Baveno is excellent right on the lake with good means of travel very close by to the hotel Eden.
Has a relaxed attitude and interesting buildings.
Within easy reach of other places of interest.
The three islands are well worth a visit being close and served by ferries and other boats.
Lots of interest at and around Baveno.

a smaller location on the lake, but had plenty of good restaurants as well as services, all in a easy walking distance. There was ferry service, so getting out of the islands and other towns on the lake was easy.

We had dinner at the Ristorante Posta on the Piazza Dante...
We had dinner at the Ristorante Posta on the Piazza Dante Alighieri 5 just around the corner from the hotel. It was excellent. We took the little tourist train around the town and visited the three Boromeo Islands. On Sunday we took the ship to Intra which is a lovely town with many shops (unfortunately, mostly closed on Sundays, but we knew that.) On Mondays there is the market along the lake just next to the hotel.

We picked a great spot and would recommend it right on the waterfront. Able to have a meal across the road by the waters edge. Strongly suggest a meal at Posta where we had an excellent meal and not too expensive.

Lovely little town, but it is small, at least the touristy front part is. Plenty of choice to eat in scenic locations. Stunning views across the lake, with a boat terminal and a little scenic "train" that leaves from the "harbour".
Easy drive into Stresa ,which is stunning and much larger.

From Aeroport Malpensa, I took the bus that went straight to Baveno with the stop next to the hotel(14 euro per person).I have beautiful views of church from my window. The staff of hotel were lovely and very helpful. Hotel location is perfect in the middle of all attractions:2 min from boat's ferry,tram Station, restaurants, 15 min walk distance to public beach.The embankment walk was so relaxing with views to the lake and mountains and islands .
The villa has everything you need for a holiday on the lake with swimming pool and outdoor spaces. Machine space in the garage and beautiful heated swimming pool open only in the cooler months. Not far from the lake and the center of Baveno. Key delivery at the villa with punctual, professional and very friendly staff.

The hotel has a warm and and welcoming man. The staff in the dining room complied with every request. Large room with a lovely view of the lake. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. The hotel has a good beach and bar near the lake. You should sit during the aperitif, for the price of the drink you also get delicious snacks
