Ivrea is a beautiful medieval borough surrounded by enchanting lakes with clean waters. It is quiet, ideal for families and for whoever desires to enjoy complete relaxation outside of the main tourist routes.
You can swim in the waters of Lake Sirio or use Ivrea as a cheap base for Vallee ski resorts, just one hour drive away.

A pretty little town, easy to walk around the cobbled...
A pretty little town, easy to walk around the cobbled streets around the castle (or prison - fascinating history!). Ancient bridge...lots of character. Apparently the orange festival is an event not to be missed (early February).
We also drove to Lago de Viverone (1/2/ hour) - stunning. Amazing views, nice walk, & good places to eat. Highly recommended.

Ivrea is a historical place with nice places to visit. Having said that, there are not so many to fill a long staying, so do not plan along holiday here, unless you also plan to visit the many great restaurants located a bit everywhere in town.

Friendly staff, especially the manager Evis Zyka who gave us a warm welcome and great introduction on the hotel and the city. Private parking at the hotel is available and we could load our electric car. Clean rooms with all amenities, good beds and pillows. Fine dining in hotel restaurant. Great location on the edge of the old town.
It’s a twenty minute walk to the UNESCO World Heritage Site XX century industrial city of Olivetti. Book a guided tour to also see the inside of some of the buildings.
Lovely small hotel in the center of Ivrea, tastefully designed rooms with a beautiful landscape view, homy breakfast and useful advices for dining in the town.
We just made a quick one night stop on our way to the mountains and for that purpose the hotel was good option. Coffee was good and so was the whole breakfast.
