An enchanting city full of surprises. Loved meandering through the streets and discovering the historical beauty in the many buildings being repurposed, redesigned and given new life.
There is definitely a richness in the culture of this special place and one that I would like to return to for longer.

We were amazed at Milan!
We were amazed at Milan! we realised how little we knew of this beautiful city. We stayed first 1 night on the Porta Garibaldi area, and then 2 nights later in our trip in the Porta Vittoria area. These two areas are so different from each other, however they both provide a great number of top quality cafes, restaurants, nightlife, parks, cultural venues and activities, etc. Within our 2nd stay at Milan, we adventured to the canal area and we were so surprised to find what we could best described as "Venice at Milan", full of people having fun like us enjoying restaurants and bars overlooking the canals full of boats and gondolas. The central area around the duomo is also beautiful and provides so much to enjoy, shopping, arts, museums, food, drinks, etc etc etc. We'll be back to spend more time at Milan, for sure !!!

Be sure to let the host know when you are arriving so they can meet you to let you in and give you the keys. There was a great pizza place on the next block (Little Italy). Walking around this area at night can seem a little sketchy.

A wonderful visit to a vibrant city.
A wonderful visit to a vibrant city. We loved every single minute and visit (Duomo, Galleries, Museums, Scala, restaurants … except
The only down point was the visit to the Duomo terraces, a complete waiste of time, money and energy. In short, an hoax .
We bought the lift access to the terraces. Little we knew that the lift tariff is one way (up) only. Coming down we had to descend hundreds of narrow, slipery, stairs. Nobody told us that.
Moreover, the terraces offer very limited view of the surroundings (in part, due to the maintenance (?) works currently undergoing, scafolds everywhere.
We did not have ONE SINGLE view/glimpse of the Duomo Sq.
To exit that disastrous experience, we had to stand, under the 3 pm inclement sun, for 45 mins. We thought our misery was over, only to face a few hundred of steps (see above) coming down.
A dreadful experience, never to be repeated…
(As a short side story, we had bought a coffee cup (yes, a coffee cup, coffee cup size, duly wraped and boxed) as a souvenir. It was denied access by security on the grounds that it was … porcelain …
Never again.

If you’re planning a trip, Milan is a gem you can’t miss!
If you’re planning a trip, Milan is a gem you can’t miss! The Duomo di Milano, with its magnificent Gothic architecture, is the heart of the city. Climb to the rooftop for breathtaking views of the towers, perfect for sunset photos, and the bustling Piazza del Duomo below. Stroll through the nearby Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a historic shopping arcade with exquisite mosaics and a lively atmosphere, perfect for a coffee break.
We stayed in a comfortable place just a few steps from the Duomo, blending history with comfort. The area is full of charm, where narrow streets lead to hidden cafés and the historic Teatro alla Scala, a legendary opera house since 1778. Don’t miss the Sforza Castle, a 15th-century castle with magnificent works of art and gardens, just a short walk away.
Milan’s mix of culture, history and style makes it unforgettable; light and

Nice hotel in a good location for where we were visiting in Milan. Short walk to the tram or strain station for easy access into the city centre. Safe covered parking for our hire car which was great. Very friendly staff and nice comfortable bed with good facilities in the room. The staff at the bar were great also.
A perfectly appointed international hotel, ideal for one night stopover in travel. Excellently designed room and bathroom, spectacular breakfast buffet. No sense of being in Milan, but very convenient to both Milano Centrale train station and the city centre.
Nice hotel, well connected to the city centre, however on foot is quite far. Staff were very helpful, lent us a phone charger as ours broke at midnight.... Price quite high for the standard of the hotel, but acceptable compared to other hotels in Milan.
Could not fault my stay at this lovely hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the location is fantastic for being close to Milan City Centre. Will stay here again next time I am in Milan!
Good value hotel for solotravel right next to milan central station, can explore city centre easily by metro.
It's clean, friendly staff with good WiFi and balcony.
