The location of this hotel could not be better, right in the centre of town. The hotel is very modern with every facility you could want including a restaurant. Within easy walking distance you come to the heart of Urbino with all the main buildings, both ecclesiastical and University. Superb selection of cafes / restaurants / tavernas are right on the doorstep.
Well worth a visit not a mega tourist hub but lively with a big university student population

It's an interesting small city, easily explored in a full day, though doubtless there are things to do that would take longer. The access is very steep, possibly one of the steepest hilltop towns we've visited, and we've been to many.

Urbino is rightly renowned as a centre of Renaissance culture and is a well preserved and restored hilltop gem. The Ducal palace is a fascinating visit, as is Raphael´s birthplace and a variety of churches. We really enjoyed walking the beautiful streets and exploring - it’s a small city, so this is easy to do, however it is very hilly, so is challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

For seniors you need to take advantage of f.i. the elevator from the parking at Mercatale (cheap) for €1. The museum at the museum Ducale is very religious and got bitboring to me until I noticed how extraordinary crafted doors, ceilings and windows are. Great experience.

As I said before, we wished to have had more time to explore this interesting and beautiful town and would recommend to have at least 2-3 days planned.
The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the staff very helpful.

Urbino is a beautiful medieval town.
Urbino is a beautiful medieval town. Quite hilly so bring decent shoes. The ducal palace and art gallery is a must see but wandering around and sitting in a cafe looking out over views is just as atmospheric. It’s quite quiet and not silly prices. Local Passerina wine is a new favorite

The city is a jewel!
The city is a jewel! In addition to walking around and through the city, we took in the Museum at the Palazzo Ducale. We grabbed coffees or spritzes in sunny spots overlooking the surrounding hills. We could have enjoyed a 2-3 day stay...

Wonderful small hotel with a beautiful view. The owner Guiseppe and his family are wonderful people and made our stay (3 days) remarkable. Breakfast is outstanding as well as the price, but also the hotel, the garden with jacuzzi (with a breathtaking view), the trust bar and many more. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms, too. Also here: all you need is available. Towels for the beach? No problem, Guiseppe had us covered. Also with hints which restaurants to go for. We we were just blown away. And will come back.
This historical hotel is ideally situated for walking to various attractions in Urbino. The staff were friendly and professional, especially Emmanuella who went above and beyond assisting us to organise bus and train tickets moving forward. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony and stunning view across terracotta rooftops to an adjacent park and fort. The breakfast included in our booking was tasty and plentiful.
Very well situated, right next to one of the best restaurants in Urbino , The Fornarina. Secure ground floor room with adjoining shower . Large enough for two, clean and very comfortable looking out through a large arched window into a small courtyard with a well.
The location is great. The Urbino express train stop is just in front of the hotel as well as the palace and the Cathedral. The room is clean and the breakfast is delicious.
