Breakfast was better than one can expect for that price. Nice park close to the building, from second floor veranda you can enjoy the view on the Kuressaare castle.

The Kuursaal is in a beautiful setting within the castle park and only minutes away from a lively street in the centre of Kuressaare with many restaurants. The room was super clean, the beds were comfy and we had a wonderful time. The Ku-kuu fish restaurant in the same building is highly recommended. Free parking across the street.

Lovely small quiet town. Visited some great bakeries - Böns and Vanalinna kohvik! Great playgrounds for children in the city center, also kindergarden playgrounds are free to use for everybody over the weekend!

I spent time in Kuressaare almost every month last year, and it quickly became one of my favorite places. The town has a calm, welcoming atmosphere with kind people, lovely little shops, and cozy cafés. Whether walking by the castle or enjoying the quiet streets, there's always something charming about being there.
One of my favorite spots was the Kuressaare Castle and the surrounding park — it’s peaceful and scenic, perfect for a slow walk. I also enjoyed wandering along the marina and popping into the local craft shops in the town center.
I had breakfast and some dinners at Meri Restaurant, which had a good atmosphere and consistent quality. One of my all-time favorites, though, is Arensburg Restaurant — I’ve had some of the best meals and most relaxing moments there. Pöide Grillhouse is also amazing , La Perla, Saaremaa veski - to be honest ... I dont think I have visited any place with bad food :D
It is easy to move around - the town is compact and everything is within walking distance. You rarely need a car, and it’s safe and pleasant to walk or bike, even in the evening. If you need a car though - you can just have a taxi - not many people use them so usually it is easy to find one :)
In summer, the beach is a nice spot for some solo time. You can also rent a bike and ride around the island or join a small group tour — the locals are friendly and it’s easy to feel comfortable on your own.

A great place for a weekend getaway in winter.
A great place for a weekend getaway in winter. I'll definitely visit again in another season. The parks and trails were beautifully kept and in easy reach of the town. Loorber Cafe & Bar stood out with friendly owners and great food. Kuressaare linnus was amazing with extensive displays and information about the history of Kuressaare.

Kujressaare is a lovely town to visit.
Kujressaare is a lovely town to visit. The castle is a most interesting place to explore. We have enjoyed dining at the Vanalinna kohvik and Chameleon restaurant on two different visits- highly recommend both of them . Kuressaare is so easy to get around on foot- everything is situated within walking distance.

The city Kuressaare is seen in a day, it's very small.
The city Kuressaare is seen in a day, it's very small. It does have very cute terrasses and a beautiful castle. If you have a car, then the island is very enjoyable to explore, with nature reserves, hiking routes and beautiful coastlines. I did not have a car, and rented a bike. This did not help very much, because many interesting things to do are too far away with a bike and public transport is not sufficient on Saaremaa. So I'd recommend hiring a car or coming by car.

Kuressaare Castle is promoted as a top attraction in Estonia...
Kuressaare Castle is promoted as a top attraction in Estonia. I would say that the Castle surrounds were very good, but my man would say only good. Certainly good for many photos. This verdict could be also applied to several renovated timber dwellings in some streets of the town. The retail area has been upgraded and the town generally is becoming gentrified, some might say trendy. Certainly the town thinks it is going upmarket. Restaurant and eatery options are moving towards the aspiring and influencer market, with prices commensurate.
Thus you have a summer place, a weekend or discreet getaway in other seasons as well. There are various opinions that could be made, but for me I found the visit to be worthwhile. My other half views the town and attractions to be generally overrated, and the visit to be rather disappointing.

Very good budget hotel in the very centre of Kuressaare. Self check-in was very convenient. Bed was comfortable. The hotel has a shared kitchen with washing machine and dryer, fridge etc. Not so far from a couple supermarkets. Parking available in the yard, and also free parking in the street on weekends.
Spacious spa, Tasty and diverse breakfast, we also had dinner at the hotel, beautifully presented and everything was delicious. Friendly staff.I've stayed at this hotel more than once and always have pleasant impressions; good quality for a reasonable price. Thank you very much!
Excellent small house in a quiet place in the very centre of Kuressaare. Spacious and beautifully designed apartment. Well-equipped kitchen. Cute small yard with convenient parking. The host is simply great, very helpful!
The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is lovely and quite, right by the water. The hotel is very pet friendly as well, which we love. The breakfast was good.
