As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Sipping fresh, local orange juice, whilst enjoying tasty tapas in a pavement café, is not to be missed.

Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.

The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.

Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.

    We had a lovely time in Valencia with our family. The city is vibrant, clean, and very welcoming to children. There are plenty of family-friendly attractions such as the City of Arts and Sciences, the Oceanogràfic, and the beautiful Turia Gardens, which were perfect for walks and playtime. :) Public transport was easy to use, and we always felt safe. The beaches were clean and ideal for kids, with calm waters and plenty of space to relax. Local food was delicious, and most restaurants were accommodating to families. Overall, Valencia is a fantastic destination for a family holiday – a great mix of culture, nature, and fun for all ages!

    Valencia is a beautiful city.

    Valencia is a beautiful city. The old town has so much to see, even on the 3rd day we were discovering new streets with restaurants and shops. It was buzzing with activity but not too busy, just a good measure. We didn’t stray from the old town because there was so much to see. Next time we hope to get an open top tour bus to get a feel for the city overall.

    There is plenty to do.

    There is plenty to do. The Bio park and the oceanografic were amazing. The beach is beautiful. There is plenty of transport available but it can work out expensive for families so I would advise to stay near the city.

    One of the best places I have ever been!!!

    One of the best places I have ever been!!! and potentially my favourite spot in Valencia! We visited the oceangraphic, the Mestella stadium, beach, had lots of pinchos, local drinks, visited local markets, did a free walking tour, and visited the local lido (absolutely recommend, the most underrated but best value part of the trip, especially if travelling with kids!) We walked everywhere (roughly 25,000 steps per day) and that's with a pretty jam-packed itinerary so you won't struggle with things to do, but if you didn't want to walk, the trams, buses, and taxis are super accessible and easy to use, so you aren't limited to walking! 100% recommend to couples wanting a weekend away, we can't wait to go back!!

    Easy to get around the city. So many places to visit The city is clean and the architecture amazing. Sadly like most big cities …too many fast food restaurants around the city centre and too few nice restaurants offering menu del día or similar.

    valencia is a gret city to spend time its not too too crowded the buildings and history make great walking and the old river bed too Excellent menu of the day lunches expecially if head a bit out of the centre even just down to Exemplar! Go back any time

    The property is in a great location, right on the beach. The hotel's building itself looks glamorous, and the grounds are really nice. There are a few restaurants and bars on the premises, which give you a good set of options for food and drinks.
