A famous and historic village in the Lake District, always a pleasure to visit. There is fine fell walking and walks on the doorstep. The only downside is that Grasmere gets a lot of rain, so you need to be prepared for it!

We really liked the settings and realising that it was walling distance to Grasmere.
We went after half term so both the hotel and Grasmere were very quiet. The hotel is very comfortable and its spaces (like lounge or restaurants) are very clean and welcoming. MAY sound strange but it's corridors are large which is nice and makes the environment very open.
The location is in the centre of Grasmere. You can reach all parts of the district easily from here. The welcome was amazing. We really appreciated the tea, coffee and scones. Breakfast was lovely. The lovely lady who looked after us is an amazing asset to the hotel.
Gorgeous hotel and grounds, lovely room and nice spa facilities. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was the best I've had in a while. Location was in the centre of Grasmere and close to walks. Would definitely recommend and will probably stay again.
