The breakfast was served individually rather than buffet which was a welcome change. The room was spacious and although all rooms were in a self-contained annexe the walk to reception/dining room/bar was very short. Staff were pleasant throughout and nothing was too much trouble - we requested a rubber mat for the shower and this was supplied promptly without demur. The TV was of superior quality to those usually experienced in hotels of this standard.

The breakfast bar and food selection were excellent. The cooked breakfast came rather quickly, we had not had time to eat our yoghourt and sadly was served on cold plates. As a result the breakfast was only just warm. The room was spacious, and we will certainly stay with you if we are in Stratford at the theatre.

We found the RSC performance at the Theatre outstanding (Othello) and the hotel we stayed at very comfortable and convenient. Restaurants, coffee houses and of course the pubs (particularly the Dirty Duck/Black Swan) were all friendly and a great standard. We were blessed with lovely weather so the river bank and surrounding parks and grounds were lovely to stroll through.
If you are looking for a peaceful, cultural and relaxed weekend then I would highly recommend Stratford-Upon-Avon

The hotel is in a brilliant location near the theatre and I love the old parts of the building. I got a very friendly reception on arrival and my room was comfortable. I enjoyed a glass of bubbly and a snack in the cosy bar before the theatre. My room was comfortable and clean.
Slight negatives: the mattress was a bit too firm for me, the room was quite dark and the air conditioning/CH a bit noisy.
And a weird thing happened in the night! I was woken by the sound of pouring water, leapt up and discovered that the shower had turned itself on! Then it turned itself off again!

The bar, restaurant and room staff were attentive and helpful. The breakfast was good and the service exceeded expectation. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The evening meals were good value and the portion sizes were so large I struggled to finish, but too good to waste so I soldiered on valiantly.
I would recommend the hotel and restaurant to friends. The location close to The Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon made the price not just reasonable but a bargain.
The hotel was in a good location but not much around it. There is National park but was expensive to go in. The decor of the hotel was outdated but comfortable and clean. The room was a nice size. The food was nice in the bar area but expensive compared to restaurants. Stratford upon Avon is 5 miles away and was lovely place to visit.
Lovely hotel in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. We were here for an event at the literary festival. Room was ideal - perfect temperature, well furnished - stylish decor with nice touches such as complimentary drinks and snacks.
