This review is actually for Hans Egede Hotel! I had booked HHE Express, its low(er)-budget partner, but on check-in was told I had been upgraded to Hans Egede (500 m up the street) as they were full. Hans Egede was great, certainly the best place in Nuuk. Very spacious, comfortable room with a real double bed which is quite rare in Scandinavia. Great breakfast with a view on the fifth floor (were there is also a good and rather classy and pricey Steakhouse restaurant). Only experience with HHE Express was staff at reception which was great, as in Hans Egede as well. Don't know what the usual rate would have been.

Perfect location within walking distance of Nuuk town. The house has 5 rooms in total which makes it feel like a home rather than a hostel. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed.

Great and convenient stay in Nuuk. Short walk to the middle of town. East connection to the airport. Great and helpful host.

Nuuk grew on me over the 4 days that I spent there. I either walked around the city or took public buses. I thoroughly enjoyed the board walk, wandering around old Nuuk, the walk to and around Circus lake, the environs of the University of Greenland, and always beginning and ending the day around the Centre of Nuuk. It was a pleasure getting to know the city through its inhabitants, all of whom, were always forthcoming with advice and suggestions.

Nuuk was much like expected but with some spectauclar views over the mountains and fjords.
The local nightlife was limited but very well attended and good fun to be with.
With both food and souvenir shops anlong with cafe's close-by, I really enjoyed my visit, especially the boat ride up the fjord and getting close to icebergs!

A very exotic and interesting destination, a combination of the far north, Inuit culture and Danish influence. Cafe Esmeralda with an affordable and delicious breakfast/brunch, a good Thai restaurant Charoen Porn right next door, a brewery and Daddys Pub were our favorite places.

I stayed in Nuuk in my first visit to Greenland.
I stayed in Nuuk in my first visit to Greenland. There is a lot of history with every footsteep. I visited these museum; Nuutoqaq or Katersugaasivik Nuutoqaq / Nuuk Lokalmuseum and Nunatta Katersugaasiva Allagaateqarfialu, I also attended mass in these churches Hans Egedes Kirke and Annaassisitta Oqaluffia. Kittat is very interesting shop/workplace with national customes.
Most places in Nuuk are within walking distance.
I only stayed in Nuuk but it would have been top on the ice to fly one day to Ilulissat where hotel stay is not in too much demand over Christmas.

The location was excellent as great views of the new harbour/port area but also only a 15 minute walk to the centre. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast area and food was lovely. The bed was super comfy - I had the best night’s sleep. Overall, a delightful and characterful hotel. I highly recommend a stay here and will definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Nuuk.
The facility & the room was very clean. The room & bathroom was pretty big. There were iron box, ironing table, TV & electric kettle provided in the room. The staff were super friendly & helpful. The location though a bit away from the city center, was accessible by walk. There was cliff by the shore about 100 mts from the hotel, which was an amazing spot to enjoy the northern lights at night.
Comfortable bed, nice common area, washing machine and dryer provided. A very good option for a stay in Nuuk!
Also, I arrived early and they emailed me the previous doorcode to leave my luggage. I could even have my room early eventually which is very much appreciated!
Staff is very very friendly and helpful. The room is good. Shared kitchen and bathroom are very big. The house is super clean. We would stay here if we visit Nuuk again. Thank you!
