We really enjoyed B&B View - great location (easy to get to from the bus station, right on the main square, farmer's market outside the building door, major sites less than 10 minute walk max, restaurants, coffee shops etc very nearby), very clean, comfy bed, nice lounging area, excellent view (room 2), very good breakfast, great value for the money, and best of all super nice staff. There's an elevator to go to 6th floor. Don't look anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Built around two medieval settlements with the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) being its core, the city skilfully combines modern attractions with well-established favorites. Start your day at the Museum of Contemporary Art, then make a stop at the Zagreb Cathedral or make a wish at the Old Town Gate. The locals say it will be granted!

The city is all under construction. Not much to see there.
The city is all under construction. Not much to see there. I did a free tour and it was super interesting, but otherwise, you will not know what to do there. I would avoid going to Zagreb again or just going for half a day for taking back a plane is enough.

Public transport is fantastic in Zagreb!
Public transport is fantastic in Zagreb! Trams and buses travelling frequently with well sign posted stops. I would suggest downloading maps.me and using that to help get around the city. It works off line & you can select public transport to get places. It then tells you which tram to take, when to get off & where to swap lines, if applicable.
The city itself was clean and quite pretty actually. There isn't a lot to see in the city centre, unless you are an arts fan. There are museums and art galleries on just about every second corner!
We spent a full day in Zagreb catching various trams around, but one day was enough.

Two nights, one full day was enough to give us a decent overview into the city and it's history. We took a 2 hour 'free' ( tip well earned) walking tour which we found very useful and insightful. The city is relatively small so walking around was easy.
Avoid the Museum of Hangovers. Full of nonsense and overpriced.

Loved Zagreb and hopefully we will be back again in the future. The locals we met were very friendly and generous. There was so much to do and see in the city with many interesting and varied museums, some of which were great fun and others interesting from a historical perspective. Also the shops, the cafes and the markets were a very enjoyable experience !!!

It is family hotel, you can really see their genuine care for guests. From helpfull and charming receptionists to hard-working cleaning ladies -spotless mirror and toilet. I have been all over the world and know where to look to check cleanliness ( OCD :) - they passed. Free parking, close to the city center, good public transportation connections, good father's "rakija" and mother's cheese strudel and definately the best -comfortable bed is all you need!
We suggest this lovely hotel to stay in Zagreb. Inside it's nicely decorated and clean. We stayed in a room with 3 separate beds, all of the beds were comfortable. 🙂 We loved the breakfast area, and the breakfast as well, it was very varied and delicious. The tram stops near the hotel, you can reach the city center easily.
Breakfast was amazing! Just great breakfast. Location of hotel is perfect. (10 minutes from Zagreb airport) Stuff very friendly, professional. We strongly recommend Best Western Stella hotel in Zagreb. And, we will be back, for sure.
Nice hotel, modern rooms, great spa, good breakfast, ample parking (although paid), nice comfy beds, very welcoming staff. Close to tram stop for city centre
