Overall, such a nice facilities, but the service ruined the whole experience when you go to such places Services is very important. We felt that we are in fast and furious movie where everything needs to be done very quickly and fast example serving the dinner serving the breakfast. They even kept our taxi outside the villa so we can leave the facility immediately.

The 3 day Hakone Free Pass is great value and a must to enjoy all the attractions in the area. The ancient road to Edo and the Hakone check point were great and the cruise on the lake on a pirate ship was fantastic , it is all great fun.

This property is incredibly peaceful and quiet.
This property is incredibly peaceful and quiet. The room we stayed in was clean, spacious and had beautiful views. The private onsen was so relaxing, and I loved that there was an outdoor shower. The meals were lovely as well, and the attention to detail was appreciated. I also appreciated that they had an English speaker on staff. I recommend following another reviewer's directions from Odawara station - once you know which bus to take and which stop to get off at, it's actually quite easy to find!

Great area for sight seeing.
Great area for sight seeing. You can easily do a loop that includes the open-air museum, tram, rope way, boat cruise, and famous Torii gate. If you’re lucky, you can see Mount Fuji if the weather is right. A must for fans of Initial D and Evangelion as well. Get the Hakone Free Pass for easy use of buses, trains, and free tickets for most the activties.

The typical circuit of train/cable car/ pirate ship was easy and fun
We had drizzly fog and not much of a view, but still enjoyed the day. Note: you are encouraged to return by bus to the starting point after doing the pirate ship. However it is easy to just retrace your steps and take the boat and cable car back, which is much more fun than a bus

We chose this hotel for the private onsen in the room which was great ! The hotel also has its own outdoor and indoor onsens. Location was ideal for hiking - we got the ship across Lake Ashi and did a walk up Mount Mikuni and the surrounding mountains. You can get great views of Mount Fuji from the lake (which is a 10 min walk down from the hotel) if the weather is clear. To get here we got a train to Odawara and then a bus (ask tourist information in the station) which took about an hour, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel.
It was an amazing stay at Yuyado Zen, two nights were perfect as we get to spend time exploring Hakone and also fully enjoy the onsen stay. It is near to Ubako Station where you can ride the ropeway to attractions like Owakudani and Lake Ashi. Hotel staffs were very helpful with directions and offer free pickup/drop off to bus station. The food and hospitality were just amazing, probably the best meals we had in Japan! The room was very well maintained, clean and spacious as well. Highly recommend!
Our stay was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fujiya. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and large ( by Japan standards). The Heritage hotel has lovely gardens and an onsen overlooking the hills. The staff was polite and courteous. Will recommend for family stays and will visit again if in Hakone !
Good location, right next to Togendai Station. Hotel design was beautiful, with superb public and private onsen. Guests have a great view of Lake Ashi. Breakfast and dinner buffet was very enjoyable, although the food menu is the same for everyday.
Private outdoor onsen and nice meals. The hotel also offer paid service to transport our luggage to Hakone-Yumoto station for pickup right at the train platform.
