Friendly comfortable relaxing but a little pricey. .
Friendly comfortable relaxing but a little pricey. . For sure a place to reconnect or rejuvenate your relationship, it's clear you're mind. Ghost shops were kinda the same but overall I really hated to leave.

I loved Helen. This as our first trip.
I loved Helen. This as our first trip. I did not realize the amount of shops closed during the off season (end of January) However, We still had a really good time. Loved how quaint. ALL of the people were friendly. My favorites on this trip was Heidelberg, Hancel and Gretel candy. And then we topped the evening off over at Bettys across the street on the patio with some really , really tasty beer. The people and the bar tenders were so friendly. It seemed like we were all friends for a long time.

Don’t come to Helen when it is raining.
Don’t come to Helen when it is raining. And, there is not much going on in January other than the Christmas decorations are still up. There are some nice restaurants but they are all pretty expensive (over $40 for two sandwiches at lunch). All the shops downtown are way over priced, as I have seen better quality in some junk stores. We didn’t buy anything - just window shopped. The little park on the hill is nice and there is some free parking there. Almost all other parking is paid, traffic is awful and cops are everywhere anxious to issue tickets.

Helen is a quint German themed town with interesting shops and eateries. You can park and walk around to most of the stores. Some of the stores further away from the town centre are too far to walk, but there is plenty to keep you busy for at least day. A river runs through town which offers tubing and other facilities in summer. We visited over the Christmas weekend Dec2023 and the lights on display were beautiful and magical. We returned for this reason. On the town square musicians were playing Christmas music and other themed entertainment were provided. The town and restaurants closed by 6pm on Christmas eve, which was unexpected but it added to that wonderful feeling that Christmas was sacred. So be aware that only one or two restaurants were open late for dinner. We attended the Christmas Eve Communion Service at the Helen Presbyterian Church. This was special. It was a rainy evening but the lights all over town were magical and being so quiet it gave enough time to look at the lights a few times. Overall Helen is worth a visit for a weekend. Do not miss the Christmas lights.

Alpine Helen is a picturesque, authentic German town, which made me feel like I had crossed the Atlantic and gone right back to Germany!! It has several excellent German restaurants, wonderful shopping, and all the charm of Europe in its German architecture. We loved every minute of our time there at the Christkindlmarkt!! We also enjoyed Hardman Farm’s Victorian Christmas, a hike to gorgeous Anna Ruby Falls, and Babyland (all very close to Helen)!
This hotel is within walking distance to all the main attractions of Helen, GA. It has beautiful landscaping in the backyard facing a flowing river with gorgeous private homes behind.
The staff were helpful and friendly - true southern hospitality. There was a delicious, hot breakfast served every morning with ample variations every day. We really enjoyed the privilege of making fresh waffles with the waffle irons they had at the breakfast location.
I've probably spent 3000 nights in hotels across America in the past 30 years and these people at country inn in helen ga were the friendliest most helpful caring loving staff I've ever seen...I have a 3 and a 5 yr old and when the housekeepers see my boys they run and hug the cafeteria staff as well and the management is top notch..superb...every hotel should model their staff after this one.
This is an Awesome Condo and beautifully decorated with an excellent location. In walking distance to most attractions, shops and restaurants.. Condo is very spacious and well kept with all modern amenities. We enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch sitting directly on the River. The next time we visit Helen, we would love to stay here again. Thanks for sharing your lovely Condo.
Location was amazing with great views and beautiful sunrises. Staff was very friendly and helpful daily. My family stayed in a private bungalow, and it was Amazing and quite relaxing. Perfect amount of space, room service was phenomenal and again, the staff was awesome!! And the Spa services were exceptional. Highly recommend the hot stone massage!!!
I loved the location. It was in the main area at Helen downtown and the Cool River Tubing was just right behind the hotel. The parking lot and breakfast were included and very conveniets. Room and facilities were pretty clean. Overall, IT WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN HOTEL, AND THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT..., THE BEST
Cute theme and great location! Right before downtown Helen, with just a short walk over to the main area. My boyfriend and me are college students who needed a cheaper place to stay and we weren't disappointed! It was exactly what we needed for our little romantic getaway.
The hotel was so close to everything in Helen, the room was amazing and super clean. The hot tub was amazing and came in handy after a day of walking all over Helen. The staff was amazing and very kind. We will definitely be coming back to Helen and the Heidi Motel!
I like the small personal ascetic... host were awesome. Alot of the little things added up to be a wonderful experience.. I'm gonna be honest. Staying here made me want to do bed and breakfast from now on instead of hotels and cabins.
The breakfast was simple, packaged foods.. muffins, little cereals, fruit, yogurt, cereal bars, ect... They provided coffee, milk, and juice. No hot foods. I enjoyed it though. Location is excellent, right on the river.. so peaceful!
A simple inn but the room seemed renovated and nice.
the staff were lovely and happy to help.
Nice location in helen and not in a busy out loud part of town. A cute grab and go breakfast nook with coffee and a few nice options.
the hotel was excellent, good location near by to the main street, quiet place, room clean and confortable, customer service excellent, i highly recommend the hotel good quality and price. I will come back
Had breakfast and a little restaurant downtown. We really enjoyed our stay at Alpine Village loved visiting Helen Georgia our first time there but we will go back.
The house was large and accommodated our party of 11 well enough. The location/neighborhood were very close to downtown Helen and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
