Farsheed helped me in real-time by phone to navigate to his location as I had arrived after dark. It was a tremendous help and a relief that he literally walked me through the driving directions to his address, staying on the phone with me until I arrived, exhausted. Very grateful that he went above and beyond the norm to welcome me in that way.

Spacious condo with everything you might need including wonderful ocean views and a great shared pool and very helpful hosts. A few top quality roadside stalls near to for bread flowers and excellent Burritos. The day we left we sat on the balcony (huge) looking at the sea and just wished we had a few more days.

Kailua-Kona has nice beach/ocean access along Ali'i Drive and there are a few good restaurants. Snorkeling was great due to the amount and variety of fish we saw. For us it was too expensive, too busy and traffic could be bad at times. We were super disappointed that we had to pay almost $30 for 2 hours of parking in one of the parking lots near to end of Ali'i' drive to have dinner out one night. All of the free street parking was full. $30...Outrageous! We might be done with all of Hawaii at this point due to crowding and costs.

Sunset
I stand atop the highlands of time,
Sunset
I stand atop the highlands of time,
Watching the setting sun dye the sky gold.
It is not a farewell, but a new departure—
That brilliance is the edge of my life’s blade.
Once I braved storms, dreams forged through sweat and tears;
Now, with distilled wisdom, I march forth once more.
Though silver streaks thread my hair and my steps may slow,
The flame within still burns, undimmed and aglow!
I greet the morning with a smile,
Igniting hope in the evening glow with passion.
It is not retreat but blooming anew,
Bearing responsibility in a different view.
Sunset is no symbol of decline—
It is a golden medal Heaven bestows in kind.
Willingly, I become that final ray of light,
To warm the world and guide it through the night!

Spent six days on the Kona side and really loved it. Lots of variety of climate and activities. Can really recommend the Kona Living History Farm, so watch for its limited hours. Also recommend the manta ray swim. At first, we were a bit reluctant wondering if the experience is worth the cost. Well, yes, it is. It was probably the highlight of the vacation for all four of us. We had lousy weather for our day horseback riding in the Kohala Valley, but it would have been amazing in decent weather. The Big Island Brewing in Wiamea made some excellent belgian style ales. Get the platter at Umekes in downtown. It fed four with leftovers and the local entertainment added to the enjoyment.

The farmers market on Saturday was awesome, we purchased some delicious fruit from the stands there. We were so close to so much fun, we did a night dive with the Manta Rays, super fun and very much advise if you are adventurous in nature.

We enjoyed our visit here.
We enjoyed our visit here. The location was great and the pools were great! Especially the ocean pool. We did miss the detail in our booking that we would have to pay extra for air conditioning so that was an unplanned for expense upon check in. Other than that, we were happy with our stay.

Kailua-Kona just seemed like a beach town anywhere and wasn't our favorite. We adored Hilo and Volcanoes Natl Park and have been to all the islands many times and love them all. This was our first time on the Big Island and we won't be hurrying back to Kona. So sorry to say that. It was crowded and busy which didn't find anywhere else. We're an older couple and my wife is in a halau at home and is an avid hula dancer...we just hoped Kpna would be more "Hawaiian!" Disappointed in the lava beaches too....sand beaches abound elsewhere!

Very comfortable for a family of four. Right on the shoreline so views were wonderful. Rock pools at door step to explore. Best Poke on the island right down stairs - Da Poke Shack. A little ways from the heart of Kailua-Kona. We had rental car so no problem for us. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
This hotel was by far the best we have stayed in throughout our 3 week trip. Cannot understand why it’s only listed as 2 stars, it deserves way more. Location is perfect, close to everything. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are huge with plenty of space for all our luggage. Would highly recommend.
The room and view from the balcony and the staff member at reception who gave us this room were wonderful. The lagoon pool at the end of the hotel was spectacular and was frequented by turtles and lots of fish.
The apartment very spacious. It had everything you could possibly need during a vacation. The decor was exceptionally tasteful. The balcony was GREAT! I loved that you could use the resort pool and gym!
