It was a nice hotel and we were satisfied with it. The only complaint that I would say is that the pool and hot tub needs some TLC very bad. The pool could be larger also.

FAQs about hotels in San Diego

The Art of Easy Living

Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favorite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.

The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. As original Spanish mission and first in California, it's has been relocated to the Mission Valley area, and Old Town San Diego still has many Colonial buildings and quirky shops. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.

The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbor seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.

Just over the border from Mexico’s Tijuana, San Diego has a distinctly Latin American vibe and a variety of accommodations encompassing apartments, motels, B&Bs and hotels. See Booking.com for the best deals.

San Diego airport is downtown, so its pretty crazy flying in…The sights of military ships, national monuments parks, zoos, museums, and a few beaches ar good for at least a week of touristing. The military base, harbor tours, whale watching, sport fisihing and the many concerts and conventions , seafood galore and proximity to Mexico, make for exciting fun. I try to visit annually, neverba dull moment unlessI I want it, and we know how to findquiet serenity..Cabrillio National Monument and its many trails.

A beautiful well kept city with fantastic transportation network. People really friendly and really geared up to making visitors welcome. Sadly there is quite a lot of rough sleepers like many big cities, but they do not bother you at all or even approach you. The Zoo is well worth a visit and again easy to get to.

    So much to do.

So much to do. We grabbed a city pass which was good value, went to the USS midway, San Diego zoo and sea world. Could’ve used it for one more attraction but ran out of time. Use CityPASS if your booking attractions, good value for money. My favourite was USS midway, it was amazing. We loved San Diego. Guttered I ran out of time for the trolley tour

Great city with many worthwhile attractions.

Great city with many worthwhile attractions. Stay in the Gaslamp area… if you can afford it, Take the South harbour cruise and visit USS Midway…. Fascinating insight into the US war machine. Great bars and restaurants downtown, but have breakfast if you can in Seaport and a beer at Mike Hess overlooking the bay. Use the tram if you cannot walk far… good value at $2.50 Always be wary, but we walked around for four nights and felt safe at all times in spite of a few sad homeless guys being around.

The hotel has everything you need, there is a market in the lobby with 24 hours service and they serve starbucks coffee. They have sandwiches and fruits so that was very convenient. The hotel is located by the sea so it's about 20 minutes walk to reach downtown san Diego where all the action is. The room was ok, nothing special about it, however, the view from the room was amazing.

Lovely location in a great city. San Diego is a compact city, and everything (including the airport) is only a few minutes away in an Uber. Swimming pool is a good size and deep at one end. Hotel also has fire pits which is a nice touch for late evenings. Our room (oversized suite in the garden) had a great view of the boats on the marina.
