The hotel exceeded expectations. There are a spacious paid parking at hotel's backyard, costs for 24 hours only 6 euro. The room was small but cozy, all facilities are available. Good breakfast. Extremely friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay in Dresden. Also perfect location! The hotel is located at the opposite side of the mall street - couple of big malls and shops are nearby. City centre by foot about 10-15 minutes. All good! 👍🏼

FAQs about hotels in Dresden

The Jewel Box

Known as the 'Jewel Box', Dresden is a stunning German city with rich history, an important classical music scene, and an unforgettable Baroque and Rococo-inspired city centre.

Located on the banks of the Elbe River, the whole city was destroyed during World War II, but has now been rebuilt into one of the most interesting places in Europe. Like a phoenix from the ashes, the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) is an imposing building that is one of the most beloved symbols of the city.

Magnificent Zwinger Palace is the main Dresden attraction, featuring impressive pavilions and a majestic garden in the middle. Continue your journey along the cultural centre of Germany and visit the picturesque Baroque square of Neumarkt. Also not to be missed is Brühl Terrace, a promenade nicknamed the 'Balcony of Europe', because of its excellent view of the River Elbe.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll around the city and you will find a selection of cosy Dresden restaurants and beer gardens serving local dishes and fine wines from the surrounding vineyards.   Dresden Airport is the international airport located in the district of Klotzsche, featuring a railway station in the terminal building. Take the train and head to your Booking.com hotel, guest house or apartment.

Dresden is an amazing city if you are looking for nice restaurants and bars to have fun! Although, Sunday everything is closed in Germany so it’s not ideal to go there for Sunday if you are looking to have some fun!

We stayed for 2 nights but we could have easily stayed another night or 2. There is so much to see in Dresden and so many of the galleries, museums and grand buildings are found within a short walking distance of each other. The new town and the old town provide a wonderful contrast. We enjoyed them both as much as each other. While the old town is steeped in art and culture, the new town offers a hip, grungy, bohemian vibe. We were there in late June. The weather was superb and there was live music and tango dancing in the square in the evenings. One of our most favorite experiencers there was the epic buskers! Outstanding. We will definitely be back.

    Dresden is aesthetically charming.

Dresden is aesthetically charming. It is small enough to walk around. There are also interesting locations in the region such as the Saechische Schweiz and Meissen. The streetcar system takes you everywhere in the city and regional and long distance rail travel is robust. The city is greener and quieter than other places I have visited in Germany.I hope to return next year for a longer stay.

Fantastic place to visit! The last time we were there, many years ago, the cathedral was still in ruins so it was wonderful to see that it was rebuilt and to see how bustling and lively that part of the city is now.

The reconstructed centre is a beautiful city with architecture from the 17th century through to last year! Loads of cafes and restaurants, plenty of art and culture. Take a horse drawn trip through the city streets. Sit on the Bruhle terrace and see the steam boats come and go and visit the Frauenkirche and the Hofkirche as well as the Royal Castle, the porcelain museum and old master gallery

The Kempinski Dresden isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience in opulence and elegance. From the grand, historic architecture to the meticulously decorated rooms, every corner exudes luxury. The service is impeccable, making you feel like royalty. However, it’s the sheer extravagance that borders on the grotesque, with an over-the-top display of wealth that might feel excessive to some. If you’re looking for an indulgent stay, Kempinski Dresden delivers, but be prepared for a level of grandeur that is almost surreal.

We have booked airport hotel, but when we’ve arrived the stuff said that accidentally they can’t check us in because of some water leaks, but they redirected us to other Dormero City hotel in Dresden, it was much better in rooms quality and location, we don’t pay any extra money, also hotel personnel agreed to provide us a free parking for 1 night as a compensation. Great experience.
