Easy to catch the bus to NYC. For us, this worked perfectly traveling with kids ages 8-13. It was a nice place to sleep at night while we explored the city. There are lots of local places to eat and grocery stores within a couple blocks.

Absolutely perfect location for a NYC getaway! Close to theaters, bars, and great restaurants. The Bird Land jazz club is an easy 10 minute walk, and wonderful for live music and great food. The hotel was well-staffed, had organized check-in/check-out, and spacious clean rooms (surprisingly large for midtown hotels - I've paid double for a room half the size at a "luxury" hotel nearby. Book here and you won't be disappointed.

The location is absolutely perfect if you need to be in the center. I was there for the Metropolitan opera, so it was perfect. It's a 5-minute walk to Central Park and Columbus circle. There are plenty of restaurants, although not many grocery stores if you prefer that option. You pay for the location, nothing else. the people at the reception were pleasant. The room was very clean, including the bathroom.
