Lovely place in Naoshima. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is very good! They rent bicycles for the day which is a plus. Highly recommend!

it was a beautiful, traditional and historic stay. the whole experience was seamless - we got off the ferry, we went to the store that rents bikes that is affiliated with this house, we left our luggage and rode around the island for the day and when we were ready, we went to the house and our luggage was waiting for us and the next day the process was repeated in reverse.

What a delight! This was such a surprise. It’s very spacious and has the best water pressure I have ever experienced in my life. I hope that I will stay again for several nights when I return. It’s a great location and wonderful value especially if you can book a weekend. The home was spotless and the owner let us store luggage at his home after checkout so we could explore the island. Can’t recommend this enough. There is a great okonomiyaki restaurant next door and an Italian eatery down the street for dinner. Remember to bring cash because that’s what the owner requires up front for your stay.

The accommodation is extremely comfortable and equipped with all the necessities. You'll find an umbrella handy for rainy days in Naoshima, a telephone available for your use, high-quality tea, cutlery, and dishes, a comfortable bathroom, complimentary dental care, and bath amenities. The door is fitted with an easy-to-use lock system, eliminating the need to carry keys during your walks, among other conveniences—all at your disposal! The accommodation is not close to the Naoshima bus terminal(about 20min walk); however, convenient buses traverse the entire island, making it easily accessible. Our host, Jhonny, was exceptionally kind and warmly welcomed us. He adeptly led conversations and readily assisted us in every way possible. Jhonny offered invaluable advice on places to visit, provided ferry timetable information, and even volunteered to pick us up from the Naoshima bus terminal. He also made a restaurant reservation for us upon our arrival. Truly an outstanding individual!

Beautiful condition with great amenities. We didn’t cook while staying but there was a kitchen with the option to, a warm living room, and great showers and toilets. Location worked well for us as close to the ferry port we used to arrive and in walking distance to the Ando museum and art house project. Also close to a bus stop so we were able to easily use this for any further locations.

The owner will start communicate with you once you booked. He even willing to pick you up from the port. If the time is okay, he also okay to send you back to the port which is 5 mins drive. （please make sure you communicate via email if you can’t speak Japanese)

I loved staying here! The room was very clean and spacious and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating! The entire house was very cozy and there was lots of guidance on what to do in Naoshima. I was even able to rent a bike from the owner for the day. My only regret is not staying longer! I will definitely visit again and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to visit Naoshima.

The neighborhood is so nice and friendly. Basically you are in between town and the beach and the bust stop is right in the door. We arrived early and the property manager help us immediately and even opened the door of our room before check in time. He kindly help us. Also there are two restaurants right outside. The bed was really comfortable, shower good all clean !
