When you go downstairs, you will be provided with an egg and two pieces of bacon. You cook them by themselves on a mini frying pan on the table. There is free coffee too.

Probably the best hospitality during my trip in Japan, and that is saying something! Gave great recommendations for things to do, and even shared some local desserts with me one day. The hostel itself is super clean and cozy, good Wi-Fi!

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Sapporo Guest House 庵 Anne is set in Sapporo, 14 km from Sapporo Station and 25 km from Otaru Station. What a host! I have never stayed in a guest house with such a welcoming and engaging host. I really felt like the owner and host cared about their guests a lot and made their stay very pleasant. I really enjoyed engaging with the other guests in this guesthouse, which enables people to get to know each other during breakfast, at the bar or in the common room. The facilities were nicely designed and decorated. Despite the distance to the centre of Sapporo, I would definitely recommend this hidden gem to everyone. Additionally, the shorter distance to Teine Olympia and Highland Ski Resort and Otaru is very convenient. This guesthouse is perfectly located in between Sapporo Downtown and Otaru, which both are worth a visit.

Offering city views, Opopo home 竜宮店 is an accommodation situated in Otaru, less than 1 km from Otaru Station and 18 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center. A couple of very nice bosses from Shanghai China, gave us a lot of advices about how to travel in Otaru and good restaurants. I think we will stay in Opopo home again when we travel to Otaru.

Offering quiet street views, BEACH AND FIELD INN is an accommodation set in Sapporo, 3.9 km from Sapporo Station and 10 km from Shin-Sapporo Station. It was such a nice small INN. The bed was super comfy, the room spacious and the showers clean. The INN is mostly made out of wood and it feels so comfy. In the morning they made me coffee. 🥰 It's only a 5-10 min walk to the subway and on the way there is a 7/11. They give you good recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

Yoshi-san is really accommodating! She's a friend, a drinking buddy, and a tour guide all in one <3 Thank you so much for the comfortable and homey stay. I love the rooms and everyone's so friendly! There's a convenience store nearby and the surrounding area is quiet.

Boasting quiet street views, Santari features accommodation with a garden, around 35 km from Lake Shikaribetsu. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 41 km from Obihiro Station. We stayed literally home at Kazu’s (the host) place and he looked after us so well and helped us with a super stay. Fantastic home made breakfast He helped us booking and taking us to a restaurant nearby. After he installed us at the restaurant he invited us for a whisky tasting of his Japanese favourites. The most helpful and kind host I have ever met. Thanks a lot for a memorable stay.

Shabby House is a 60-year old traditional Japanese home that is situated in Sapporo. Nishisenjuyojo Station is a 3-minute walk away from the property. Host was very friendly and accommodating. He fetched us to and from the station, made us breakfast, and was super fun to talk to.

Surrounded by serene pasture and vegetable fields, Pension Megumiyuki is situated just a 4-minute drive from Biei Station. The host was very nice, and spoke in simple Japanese to accommodate me. He was extremely cheerful and helpful. My friend and I felt very welcome, and spent a lovely night in the tatami room.
