This was the perfect stop on our way to Niagara Falls from the Washington DC area. We didn't want to stay on the main strip and this neighborhood was very nice, the house beautiful, the hosts lovely, parking was easy and there is a very good brewery (Brimstone Brewing Company) and other restaurants in walking distance. Would've liked more time to discover Fort Erie.

Went there only for beaches but all beaches were overcrowded. Parking for not local people is $35 near the beach. It's a robbery. All beaches are not allowing dogs while almost every family now has a dog. This need to be changed throughout the province. Our stay at Comfort Inn was disappointing. This was our first covid trip and the hotel stay was frustrating. No desire to stay next day. During the pandemic, there's not many things to do. To go to the beach, you have to drive to Christal beach about 15 min away from the motel. Depends on what you want to do, it's a good place to relax.

Near Niagara Falls, Fort Erie is a reasonably inexpensive...
Near Niagara Falls, Fort Erie is a reasonably inexpensive place to stay and actually much less touristy. Easy access to QEW if you want to get to Toronto or Hamilton. Easy access to Peace Bridge and Buffalo and BUF airport. Don't expect much entertainment other than bingo. Bars and restaurants are low priced, somewhat spartan but very friendly.

I also liked that it was within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and pharmacies, yet the hotel was tucked away from all of that for a nice quiet atmosphere. It was well located - with shops and the supermarket within a 5 minute walk. I would have given it a higher rating but there is not so much to do in Fort Erie so it is hard to give it a 9/10.
