A little dated. Staff was friendly. Room was large and clean. The included breakfast was better than expected. Very good bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, pastries, waffles and fresh fruit.
Great location for getting to Pearson Toronto airport, about 15 minutes in good traffic. (9:45am)

The food in the dinner restaurant was amazing!
The food in the dinner restaurant was amazing! and the staff were really helpful and efficient ( shout out to Mia ).
We were in room 227 and the beds were awful, way too soft.
Otherwise the room was good and clean although a little cramped (I hit my arm twice on the corner of the tv walking past).
The mixer in the shower needed upgrading because in order to get warm water you had to get wet in the cold first, not good.
The location is really good and we loved the tram that went right in front the hotel.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

I enjoyed Toronto.
I enjoyed Toronto. Uber was the best way to get around and Uber drivers were available within minutes. The boardwalk along lake ontario was beautiful. There are many water taxis and water tours available and I highly recommend. The aquarium was amazing! A little overcrowded with school kids bur the aquarium itself was incredible. And of course, several opportunities to go to a sporting event. Football at the BMO was fantastic! Tours to and from Toronto to Niagara falls were easy to access. Niagara falls and the town are a must see with so many things for families to see and do! I personally loved the go karts! But there is something to do for everyone in the town of Niagara falls! Unfortunately, the museum is closed on Mondays and I didn't go as a result. And if you're OK with heights...go up the glass elevator of the CN tower. My fist visit and it was a great trip!

It's like NYC but cleaner and much wider roads. Museums and aquarium were nice but entry was too expensive. I did use the PRESTO and it was super convenient. Biking was also very convenient. Downtown is very walkable and everyone's friendly if you are lost and need help.

I was born and raised in Toronto, and it's still a decent city, but it's very overpopulated and expensive to live in these days. Things have certainly gone downhill in recent years. More drugs, homelessness, traffic congestion, and huge influx of immigration from 3rd world countries who are not sending the best and brightest. City life isn't for me anymore, but there are still positives. If you have the money, there are some great attractions and restaurants. Also some very lovely walk-able areas like Bloor-west village and the high park area.

The Double Tree is very nice.
The Double Tree is very nice. But Toronto ( the one I knew ) doesn't exist anymore. Traffic is a complete nightmare from "Dawn to Dusk"
Once you get to one of the 400 series Highways that ring Toronto - better plan on 2 hours to get downtown.
We left about 10:30 a.m. It took us 3 hours to drive to Oakville...used to be able to do that in about 45 minutes ...even with a bit of traffic.
Unless you have a very specific reason to be in downtown Toronto, Don't go! It is a concrete canyon. With not much to "see" anymore, unless you are looking out your window to look into others' windows in all the condos that surround the building. ... Ask for a high floor on the north-east side. Lovely view of a couple of roof top gardens - including the one at Sick kids.
And be prepared to get fleeced on pretty much everything - although you can still get decent meals at almost reasonable prices over on Spadina in China town.

The room was spacious, quiet and clean. There was plenty of space to park a car; we stayed on the ground floor and we were able to park our car right next to our bedroom. The breakfast was good. The staff were very polite and helpful. There was no tea/cofee making facilities in the room, but they were available 24/7 free of charge in the breakfast area right next to the reception. The hotel was conveniently located: the drive to downtown Toronto took no more than 25 to 30 minutes; the distance to the international airport was similar.

This hotel is near airport. We booked this hotel twice (as we arrived toronto and we left toronto). There is a shuttle bus from airport to hotel every 30min. The beds are very big & comfortable. From airport there is train to union station (takes about 30min.) This time we had a room on 13th floor & we had a very nice view to see the airport.
