Quiet village road, very peaceful. The house was charming, elegant and a step back in time with some modern twists such as the coffee machine and modern bathroom. The garden was peaceful and very beautiful. We loved the breakfast. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be a problem.

The casita was very lovely. Thoughfully decorated, comfortable, and cozy with a great bed. A nice bonus to have a large outdoor space to enjoy the sun and countryside. We had dinner prepared for us every night, and it was something we looked forward to each day. Excellent fresh and yummy. We highly recommend!!
Alora is a fabulous place. A bit hilly but after a few days we were up the steep slopes like a 16 year old. Plenty of options for food and bars but you will easily find 'your local' People are friendly and if you need help there'll be someone yo help you out. Easy transport to Malaga and every where but Alora has everything for day to day living..

very traditional whitewashed villge come small town.
very traditional whitewashed villge come small town. A couple of interesting historic sites. Doesn't really cater for tourists in the evenings - takeaway or chinese is about it. Transport needs to be looked at carefully so you don't get stuck somewhere you can't easily get back from.

We booked for a week, but if staying longer, would have travelled further afield by train, to see more of the area. Plenty taxis nearby to get to and from the railway station. Alora is a hilly village, we took a taxi up to the Castle and walked back. Went to the bakers every morning for fresh bread, and the various fruit shops to get our fruit, and two quite big well stocked supermarkets, and a butcher shop

Alora is quite Hilly but manageable.
Alora is quite Hilly but manageable. We ate ar Bar Marin (great for Seafood) - check opening days, we also ate at Casa Abilio which was amazing.
The large Mercadona supermarket in town is big enough for all food shopping requirements - careful driving into and out of the underground car park.
Getting to the Caminito del rey if you have a hire car is a doddle - book tickets in advance from the official website. This website also has great advice https://anywhereweroam.com/caminito-del-rey/
Ronda is an hour in the car and worth a day trip - we ate at and would recommend Pura Cepa.
We also did the wine tasting in Alora with www.bodegasperezhidalgo.es - email them to make a booking.

It is a lovely town, with stunning views from all round, but especially from the castle. I stayed there in order to do the Caminito del Rey which was wonderful and Alora is a perfect place to stay to do that. The people in the town are friendly and it is very safe. There are lots of shops, banks, cafes bars and restaurants.

Breakfast was served outside in the lovely garden. Coffee refills, fresh pancakes, eggs were always offered. Beers were ice cold. Pool was always clean and open. Very friendly and accommodating owners/staff. 2 minutes from Alora station which goes directly into Malaga. Authentic Spanish house. All room facilities in good working order.
The property is in an excellent location in Alora. It has everything you could need and it was so comfortable. There was a small convenience store across the road and plenty bars, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. The house has a lovely roof terrace overlooking the square.
I was worried about check in time as I arrived late in the evening. I phoned the hotel and told them and it was not a problem. Bed very comfy very friendly staff
