Excellent atmospheric historical place to stay. It was magic for us living as one does in a bland corporatised world. Magic!

This is an ancient home beautifully furnished with antiques. We loved this and it was just what we wanted. We also booked because the host advertised being dog friendly which they were. We were travelling with a young dog and it worked brilliantly for us. Outstanding breakfast too.

The location was perfect for what I needed and such a unique place. I arrived later than expected (due to terrible traffic) but the owner helped me find the location (as it was dark) and explained a little of the history of the chateau. It really is wonderful to see a place like this being so passionately restored. I had a great sleep - bed was comfy and great to have a breakfast with warm bread and homemade jams. The property was quiet.

A beautiful medieval castle, charming hosts and a wonderful guard dog. If you are looking for a fancy chateau with wifi- this isn't it. This is the real deal where you are transported back in time - an amazing experience including breakfast in a banquet Hall! My history graduate sister was in heaven. Hosts are charming and there is a fab pizza/diner style restaurant down the road (2 mins walk) with equally amazing hosts. Perfect stop of on our journey back to the UK - we will be back!

Really enjoyable stay. This is not a plush modern hotel inside an old facade. It is a true medieval building, with essential modern additions (bathroom and central heating). If you have seen the TV show “Escape to the Chateau”, it’s a bit like that. Delightful French couple maintain and run the chateau. Huge room with views out to the moat and countryside, plus inner courtyard. Free easy parking outside or in the courtyard. Really good breakfast in medieval dining room. No hassle check in. Good local “pizza” and French food restaurant, 100 yards away in the village. Beautiful surrounding countryside and French villages. Great place for driving holiday. A unique kind of place. We would definitely stay again.

It was a nice experience to sleep in a castle from XIII th century . It has a beautiful courtyard, where you can have a seat and appreciate the beautiful castle. The breakfast medieval room is also very nice, it give you a feeling of having breakfast but centuries back. The breakfast is really delicious and of good quality local products. The dog is the castle guard, a beautiful friendly dog. We got the room downstairs, which was huge with a kitchen, dinner table, living room and bathroom. We also enjoyed the the beauty of the night sky from there, just marvelous!!

Beautiful old castle dating from between 1200 to 1500. Large rooms (some very large), with fireplace. Our room was called the Room of the Ladies because of all the paintings of ladies on the walls and it even had a loom with a half finished drapery that the owner works on when she finds the time.

Le château est super malgré les travaux (de reconstruction) c'était un très belle expérience et toute la famille en a été heureuse surtout les enfants.
