The Lodge was very Comfortable and Clean, kitchen fully Equipped, Beds very Comfortable. The only Disappointment is that the Wi-Fi was not working. The outside appearance of the lodge itself does not do it Justice.
It’s located in a very peaceful area of which is Great.
Christine the owner is lovely and Helpful.

Lovely little town great views plenty of parking. The Saltburn Cliff Lift was out of action due to fire after recent renovations but a sight to see as its one of the worlds oldest water powered funiculars

I lived in this town for about two years and have friends and a relative there so I am not a typical tourist. However, it is a nice calm and pleasant place. There is a large modern supermarket and also a very interesting antique shop. I recommend both of them. The view from the high point is stunning. The Spa Hotel and the Marine Pub are really good places to eat; the staff in each friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming. There is also another good restaurant, Alessi's, which is in the center of town. There is good bus and train service to Saltburn. This town is great for just a relaxing weekend rest.

Everyone should visit Saltburn by the sea at least once in their lifetime! Virgo's Bistro was particularly good. But many other places in town also good. Everyone is helpful and friendly. I met new friends. Getting around Saltburn I think is easy. The Parade is glorious. The seas are wonderful and getting down to the beach, by the famous tram makes it very easy and also lots of other areas along the front make it easy too. Wonderful fish and chip restaurant! Also enjoyed the Farmer's Market. The local shops are good and interesting again with lovely friendly people. Bus and train service fabulous. So easy to visit surrounding areas. Thank you Saltburn by the Sea...I will be back soon!

Our favourite place was the ride on the Funicular tramway from the upper promenade to the lower one. We were surprised by the amenities available of the lower prom. Lovely gardens and plenty of seating. Lovely beaches.
The roads are laid out in a grid with roads sloping upwards from the prom to the town. Comfortable shoes recommended.
We had two great meals at the Alessi's Italian restaurant and Jadoo Indian restaurant.
We will definitely be visiting again.

We absolutely love Saltburn by the sea ,we have visited many times ,it's our bolt hole.It is charming and laid back, not cluttered with the usual money grabbing arcades. It has an old fashioned charm,a wonderful long beach, which I've never seen busy ( although never been during school holidays)
The town has lovely,bars/ cafe/ restaurants ( especially the wonderful seaview restaurant) and Rapps and Number 23 in the town . Saltburn is a great place as a base to see the beautiful surrounding areas, both along the coast and inland( Guisborough)
Dont go if your expecting a party,it's quiet, small and deliciously relaxed ,not for the teenagers in your life.
Although the " Back Alley" pub with its locals is always busy and fun
Beware the very very steep Saltburn Bank which you use to negotiate from town to beach ( no problems in the day as you can use the wonderful Funicular) BUT beware it stops running at 4.30 ,so any evening wanders up or down the hill would be impossible, unless very fit or a taxi.
There is nothing we would avoid in Saltburn-By-The-Sea and would be happy to return time and time again

The lovely ambience and family feel of the hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home.
Jovana and Niamh along with Steve were always cheerful, chefs, Gary and Hannah were very accommodating in preparing Ready brek for my son who had mouth abscess and unfortunately couldn't eat.
Thank you to Karen and Natalie on reception for making our stay complete.
An added bonus was the fact we had a ground floor room with access to the car park through patio doors.
A very spacious property with a very comfortable large bed. The heating worked well. Yes there is a sea view and the property is very well located. The TV was very good - great to be able to pause and record! The coffee machine is a Nespresso so coffee was good (new pods available at the Sainsbury's nearby). The Marine Hotel looks uninspiring from the outside but served excellent beer and food (although they were clearing away menus before 7pm so get in early).
Lovely apartment with a boutique hotel feel, comfortable beds and everything we needed for a great little seaside break. I loved watching the sea from the lounge windows.
The apartment is in a great location, a short walk from the top of the cliff railway and just a couple of minutes from a good selection of coffee shops and restaurants. It doesn't take long to walk down the hill to the beach, or you can take
the cliff railway down.
The furnishing of the hotel were lovely.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Easy assess to the lovely park in Saltburn-on-sea which led down to the great beach. Good snack bars and surf equipment school/shop along the front. Saltburn-on-sea is a lovely place to stay with friendly, helpful staff in the pubs and shops. Great meal and lovely pub: the Ship which also looks out at the sea.
The staff are helpful throughout the organization and helped resolve a problem caused by hotels. com. Book direct is my motto for the future. A family emergency caused us to have to request a cot and single bed and they kindly accommodated us at the original rate. Great stay and will definitely return. Some rooms however are a little pricey for the size.
Lovely and spacious, clean, light and bright in lounge area due to 3 windows..open plan to kitchen which was nice. One of the 1st things you notice is how soft the carpet is!!Ideal location, short walk to beach.i could quite easily of stayed here much longer!I definitely recommend this apartment..lovely and quiet too .If you book here enjoy!😀🍦
The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed and it is spacious enough for two people. Loftus had all we needed right out of the front door - Co-op , pubs, takeaway etc and it is on a direct bus route to Whitby and Saltburn-By-The-Sea We had an excellent stay. Thank you.
The apartment was spotless and equipped with everything needed for a fantastic stay. The decor was amazing and very modern. The host Sara was a most gracious host with a very nice welcome gift. I have stayed many times in Saltburn at various different places Hotels and Apartments and this was by far the best place.
Nothing we booked in the room was not very good the shower was leaking constant the room was twin beds we decided not to stay the hotel gave me a full refund and did explain that work was still going on its basically a contractor hotel and a pub ie club downstairs for the locals
Lovely hotel with a wonderful restaurant doing special
Offers mid week. Our room was spacious and as described. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Restaurant definitely highlight of the stay with food being excellent ( very different from our morning experience).
Staff - exceptional. Happy & smiling & helpful. Beautifully appointed property, both public rooms and hotel.
