Ideally located in the heart of Newcastle city centre, this well placed hotel is just a short walk away from Newcastle Central train station and many of the city’s shops.

The hotel is easily accessible from the A167 and has its own car park, making it a very convenient place to stay. If you are travelling by train then you will find the hotel just a short walk away from Newcastle Central train station, where there is an entrance to the Tyne and Wear Metro system that will give you quick and easy access to the surrounding area. The fantastic central location means that there are many shops nearby, including the Newgate and Eldon Square shopping centres.

The hotel’s restaurant has panoramic views of the city centre and offers a full range of dishes. The cocktail bar is adjoined to the restaurant and offers a wide selection of beverages.

it was close to the town centre

the windows were very hard to open, we had no drawers to put our clothes in so we were living out of our suitcase which is not nice. the bar upstairs had a very poor selection of drinks. also it said on the internet that you get sky tv and we didnt.

The decor was tired the whole hotel looked as if it had seen better days. The dinner menu was restricted it lacked something

The beds were clean and the breakfast was excellent

The windows in bedroom were large,and they were absolutely filthy which
made the room look very dirty.

Excellent but please make the entrance more visable I was looking for
the hotel by the picture on the web which we couldnt find only to find
out that the picture was at the back of the hotel and the actual
entrance is a door way inbetween two shops!!!!!

it was in an excellent position for the centre of Newcastle shopping night life and the free parking was QUALITY

only the entrance to the hotel no sign to say Quality hotel after shopping walked past the hotel

I love Newcastle, and have stayed at this hotel several times before admittedly the last time was about eight years ago but it was alway's the choice of the company I worked for at that time, it has certainly went downhill since then.

The staff were very friendly until we got to the in the restaurant and bar area staff there didn't seem to have a clue. we sat for almost 10 minutes just to get asked what we would like to drink, waited another 15 to get a menu and a further 30mins until our meal arrived and after all the wait the food was awful didn't eat in the hotel again the rset of our stay.

We liked the staff, they were helpful at all times, it was a very
central location, but not easy to find as it is amongst shops.

Not easily signposted, no big sign outside.

The hotel was wonderfully situated for walking access to the city.

We had to go out and buy a fan for the room, as there was no air-conditioning and the room was so hot. The coffee served at breakfast was awful.

Only there for a one night stopover For this purpose it was fine. Showing its age a bit but the price was a fair representation of this. Clean - most important.

Bar had no draught beer. 2 out of 3 lifts not working. Restaurant closed on Saturday night. Scruffy entrance and common areas. Near street and very noisy - take ear-plugs to shut out the drunken Geordies.

The food was very good i.e. breakfast and evening meal menue

The bath was dirty when we arrived in the room. We complained about the broken toilet seat twice and nothing was done about it!
