This is a beautiful very old hotel, yet so near to Gatwick airport. A great combination for us. We stayed in one of the rooms which have been newly built in the grounds, but in keeping with the charming old world style on the outside, but fully modern and very spacious. We took afternoon tea in the garden, and were lucky to sit in the sun, it was charming. The staff were all lovely, and very helpful with any requests. We forgot to bring our dog bed back to our car and they carefully kept it in reception for us overnight. They surprised me with a beautifully decorated chocolate brownie at afternoon tea to mark my special birthday.
Directly connected to Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal, Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport offers high-quality hotel accommodation, and a restaurant, bar and fitness entre.

Breakfast opens at 4am, so even if you need to catch an early flight, it's no problem to get some food before the flight. The room was incredibly quiet. The fitness center was absolutely recommendable - not big, but there is everything you could possibly need from weights to cardio equipment (even a Peloton). The hotel is a (not even) one minute walk from the reception to Gatwick North Terminal (via a connection bridge). That is amazing because it makes flying out so easy!
Offering modern, comfortable accommodation, Bloc Hotel is located within the South Terminal of London’s Gatwick Airport. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout.

Was very surprised how neat, tidy and compact everything was, the electric blackout blind was brilliant.

Pleasant little town with a good range of restaurants and pubs so we had a range of options for dinner. We were only there for an early morning flight from Gatwick so didn't spend time exploring - although it did look as though there would be good walks in the surrounding countryside. We ate at the Wetherspoons a that is an inexpensive option; the staff were very friendly and the ambience was good.
Would certainly choose to stay in Horley again if we needed a night's accommodation before a morning flight from Gatwick.

Many people stay in the area because its so close to Gatwick airport. When you are there, make sure to check out Ye Olde Six Bells. Its a great restaurant that was built in the 1400's as part of a monastery.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.
The front desk staff was very helpful and professional, the room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Location is about 5 to 10 minutes from Gatwick N. terminal by car/taxi. Had an early wake up call, the first was automated, then 5 mins later the front desk called to make sure we were awake, the other hotels in the area never checked on us before, I thought that it was nice from the front desk to this.
Greta location for those taking an early flight from Gatwick. The hotel is around 10 min away on foot from the train station.
After having an issue with our shower, the owner offered himself to give us a lift to the airport early in the morning, waking up specifically for that. Very kind, mindful and caring. They keep the hotel clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet, and comfortable beds.
Great location (hotel is in Gatwick’s south terminal, 2 minutes from the monorail).
The rooms are small but have everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable; the shower really nice and hot. The food and drinks menu was varied and affordable. I had the breakfast delivered and was impressed with what I got for less than £8. Staff all very friendly and accommodating.
Very close to Gatwick airport. TBH no other reason to use this hotel - if you were visiting towns/places in the area I'd suggest there are nicer locations.
I was pleasantly surprised at the range and quality of food and drink in the restaurant - better than normal budget hotel fare. The shuttle bus from the airport terminal is efficient and not too expensive (£7 return, Jan 2023)
Very comfortable, heating was on maximum when I arrived on a very cold day, not like a lot of hotels where you have to turn it on yourself and wait for it to warm up.
Leass than a ten minute walk from Horley Station that is about five minutes to Gatwick so no need to get a cab for £45 at 5.30 in the morning.
A five minute walk to a wide choice of restaurants.
Excellent location close to Gatwick Airport. There is a shuttle bus service that runs 24 hours to and from the hotel. The shuttle cost us only 4.50 pounds per person each way. The hotel was clean, spacious and our bed was very comfortable. There is an on-site restaurant and bar and room service is available. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is fair.
Close proximity to Gatwick Airport and Horley Train Station. Shopping center not far away. Nice and quiet location despite you can hear the busy Airport around the clock. The place was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable and so was the two seat sofa. The owner was very friendly and very helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. Would recommend.
The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from Horley train station which is pretty easy even with big bags. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was round the corner from the main entrance and was clean and comfortable. It's a 5 minute taxi ride from Gatwick Airport. As we were leaving early we didn't have breakfast there.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Front desk staff professional, friendly and helpful. So convenient to catch your plane at terminal one it was amazing. Hotel room was spotless. Eighth floor lounge area was wonderful with amazing staff. First time to Britain and we were so pleased with Sofitel London Gatwick.
Needed to stay at Gatwick due to a very early flight and this hotel was GREAT. Didn't hear a peep at all. (I was on the top floor so that may have had something to do with it!!) But I heard no planes or anythign else. Very quiet! Everythign was comfortable and very clean. wonderful room.
A cozy hotel tucked in the corner of a quaint London suburb. Comfortable bed, super friendly staff, great English breakfast.
My departing flight got changed from Gatwick to Heathrow at the last minute and their super helpful driver helped me get there. I will be forever grateful!
Very close proximity to Gatwick and short walking distance to the restaurants, amenities of Horley. Very friendly, family run business. Great value and includes a nice continental breakfast. Provide shuttle to airport for reasonable cost.
Excellent hotel, large rooms, tea, delicious breakfast, very beautiful breakfast room, friendly helpful staff. Very beautiful place, near Gatwick. Everything is great! They accept cash. Thank you so much🙂
It was very close to Gatwick airport. The bus stop was just 2 minutes away. Just 1 stop to the airport.
They had a nice restaurant in the hotel. The food was very good. The waiter very friendly.
Lovely Hotel and rooms built all facing a central area other rooms facing over out externally, we overlooked a car park at London Gatwick. Choice of three restaurants and good selection of food.
Location is very good. It is at the Gatwick Airport area, no need to book a taxi or a bus, just walk from your plane to the Hotel level. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pastries were fresh.
