The best thing about Velence lake and its surroundings is...
The best thing about Velence lake and its surroundings is that there is minimum of foreign tourists, because they all drive to Balaton, Budapest etc. The majority of holidaymakers are locals. Its also a good destination for cyclists who can bike around the lake and visit villages nearby. The lake itself is very shallow (good for nonswimmers) with healing stinky mud on the lake bottom (suitable for skin problems).

Lake Velence - the better option if you plan to enjoy Lake...
Lake Velence - the better option if you plan to enjoy Lake Balaton area. From here you can even visit Budapest by train. Activities like bike tours around the lake, bird spotting or enjoying secret beaches (not the main one) will make your stay an exciting time

The apartment was very clean, well furnished & kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed all the little details that the host provided for our ultimate comfort. Great views from the terrace, apartment is very spacious and well furnished, beds were comfy, no issues at all. We stayed as a group of 4 adults and 1 baby and we had plenty of room.

The apartmant was comfortable with 3 kids, it was clean and lovely. AC was perfect - it was not blowing too strong, and we could easily manage the temperature we wanted. The kitchen was fully equipped and it was easy to use.
