The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Budapest this weekend is $124 or, for a 4-star hotel, $191. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Budapest for this weekend cost around $305 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
On average, it costs $99 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Budapest for tonight. You'll pay around $162 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Budapest will cost around $389, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels available in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes it an easy choice.

Budapest exceeded all expectations — a stunning city full of history, charm, and vibrant energy. From the majestic Parliament building to the relaxing thermal baths, every corner offered something unique. The public transportation was efficient and easy to navigate, making it simple to explore both Buda and Pest. The local cuisine was delicious, with plenty of cozy cafés and excellent restaurants to choose from. The people were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt both lively and safe. I would highly recommend Budapest to anyone looking for a mix of culture, architecture, and authentic European character.

Key sites are quite spread out so plan time accordingly. Either a travel pass for public transport or hop on the sightseeing bus if pressed for time. Stayed 4 days and could have stayed many more to see all and do it's beauty justice.

I spent 7 nights in Budapest and wish I could have stayed 2 or 3 more. I saw the majority of the things I wanted to see but would have like to have spent some time visiting the museums. It's a wonderful city, very walkable, which I loved. The subway was easy to figure out. It was cold 2 of the days but perfect weather the other 5 days (in April). People were friendly, helpful and most spoke English.

We very much enjoyed staying with Metropolis Budapest. The room was great with beautiful wallpaper and nice decorations. Everything we needed was there. The staff were kind and very helpful. The location was also great - close to ruin bars and great restaurants. The walking distance from the hotel to the city centre was also fine - about 15-20 min. All in all we were very pleased with Metropolis and will recommend this nice hotel to other visitors in Budapest.

Amazingly welcoming staff, beautiful rooms, very calm and relaxing atmosphere away from the noise of the city centre. We slept better than we ever have thanks to the super comfortable beds and extremely quiet rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we would happily return to Kozmo next time we’re in Budapest. A real gem of a hotel.

All good for family with kids booking the family room with a separate sleeping room. It’s a very good price level. Location is easy via metro M4 and ideal for people coming by car as it’s just outside city centre and no traffic issues. ;)
Breakfast is good.
All in all what we need to stay a night or two in Budapest.
