We stayed at Hotel Heladiv this February and had a lovely experience. We booked a double room and found the hotel to be a peaceful and relaxing place, tucked away in a quiet location—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. What really stood out was how well they handled logistics for us—they arranged transport to our next hotel in Kandy, as well as a safari to Wilpattu National Park. The safari was well-organized and even included food, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. This hotel is a great option for travelers looking for a calm atmosphere with staff who go the extra mile to support your plans. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would definitely recommend Hotel Heladiv to others visiting Anuradhapura.

Nice rooms. Nice pool. Nice staff. Very good and extensive breakfast. If you want to eat well in the evening, you can do it in the hotel. A lot of choice and delicious cooking. If you ask anything, it'll be taken care of immediately. They can arrange tuk tuk with guide for you. With tuk tuk fast in old and new city.

The location is beautiful. Everything is new as they opened in April. This also means that not everything is finished. You can't eat there yet. But we knew that when booking. When all will be ready it will be an amazing place to stay. I hope they keep up the cleanness.

This beautiful place was so peaceful, the room was the most comfortable room we stayed in sri lanka, the breakfast was delicious and the room even had a tv with Netflix and other streaming service. The place was amazing!!!!

Monaara leisure gave us outstanding service for the entire stay. Really enjoyed the calm and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone who looking places to stay near the main attractions in Anuradhapura. Also need to mention person “Lakitha” who gave us friendly hospitality and all the staff.

These are beautiful, modern treehouses off the beaten path (about 20 minutes from Anuradhapura). They are spacious, have bathrooms upstairs and down (which are lovely). The property has a lovely pool to relax. And the food for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner was absolutely delicious.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunhill Lake Tourist Rest in Anuradhapura. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The host, Palitha, was incredibly hospitable — it really felt like staying with family. One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the nearby temples with Palitha’s tuk-tuk. Not only did he take us to the main historical sites, but he also gave us detailed explanations and background stories that made the visits so much more meaningful. You can tell he’s passionate about sharing the history and culture of Anuradhapura. The guesthouse itself is quiet and peaceful, right by the lake, with clean and comfortable rooms. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Anuradhapura — especially if you’re looking for authentic hospitality and a deeper understanding of the city’s ancient heritage.

    The staff were very friendly and nice. Room was clean and nice. They had a very good buffet for dinner and breakfast. All in all everyone enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Very close to most of the attractions in Anuradhapura.

Sri mahabodiya ,Ruwanweliseya and so many buddhist temples are there.Also large tanks like Thisa wewa,Nuwara wewa also there.Very attarctive place to visit.     Anuradhapura is an ancient city which evolved into a very popular place with pilgrims and tourists. Because of the modernization of the city, more and more people visit there to experience the century old civilization. In my view anybody can learn a lot about Buddhist culture, agriculture and simple but happy lives of those people who live there for a long time. Good Luck!

    We unexpectedly loved the visit to Mihintale, and recommend that. The Ancient city of Anuradhapura was vast; I think we only saw the highlights. If you're a history buff, you would definitely need at least2 or more days.

    Having a guide & tuk tuk allowed us to see all the important sites in this vast area. It made for a more comfortable experience in the tropical heat. We stayed at Prestivia Stay, in a quiet area, where our helpful host arranged tuk tuk & guide. Our host served delicious authentic Sri Lankan meals. The afternoon sunset tour was a bonus.

    Historic and spiritual richness is a gift to the traveller - and Anuradhapura has both. We visited the magnificent stupa and Bodhi tree as well as archaeological sites. The is an optimal opportunity for a learning journey, and staying with a young Sri Lankan couple at Corner Cottage expanded our learning and appreciation.

    Awe inspiring stupas at the UNESCO site. Food was provided at our accommodation (Prestiva Stay) which was excellent. Ate typical Sri Lankan meals and enjoyed every mouthful. Transportation (car & tuk tuk) was coordinated by our host at Presitiva Stay (again excellent)

    This hotel has high cost-perfomance included thier hospitality and kindness. The biggest obstacle in my trip to Sri Lanka was transportation, but they told me the order to the hotel before arrival. Room is beautiful, hot There is no problem with the water pressure of the shower, and the hot water is solid. meal is also nice. We rented a bicycle and toured the temples of Anuradhapura. Finally,he consulted us about the next itinery and helped us get on the bus, which is difficult for travelers. Many thank, Amira-san!!
