I read a lot of blogs about Marrakech before I went and I was really looking forward to it and it seemed to be safe for women.
Unfortunately, this was not my experience. I did 5 nights in Marrakech with another female and from passport control once we landed, through to the end of the holiday, I have never felt more unsafe. We had a terrifying experience with a yellow taxi going into the Medina on the first night at 7pm. Its just not safe to take these taxis, they are are trying to scam you and drop you at the wrong location.
I was groped by a male walking along the street near Jardin Majorelle, despite wearing long baggy clothes and showing none of my body.
The airport is a wild experience at passport control either side. They keep everyone there for so long pretending to be looking something up, when we could see they were just clicking in the one screen, they ask completely unnecessary questions and have a clear detain for women.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Marrakech especially if your female.

Cannot find the right area, to advise you that in your description of the Riad Sapphire, superior Suite, you state it has a patio.
No rooms have patios, so could be a disappointment if travellers were expecting this.
We excepted it was a mistake.

Marrakech is a very interesting and unique city.
Marrakech is a very interesting and unique city. And it is really worth going there and seeing the city. However, it must be taken into account that the huge number of motorcycles and scooters in the old town causes a lot of air pollution, sometimes the smell of gasoline is quite terrible. Also, be sure to pay attention to the water you drink. I would not recommend drinking water from the tap in the hotel, but only use water bottles bought in the store.
I would definitely advise travelers to Morocco not to plan more than 2-3 days to see Marrakech directly. It is quite enough for the city. And if you are thinking of seeing Morocco, be sure to plan something else - trips outside the city.

for Medina :
for Medina :
To eat - ""Snack La Place"" , its in the marked , best quality /price.
Tours - https://www.clickexcursions.com/ - can be booked on tripadvisor or getyourguide, but on their webside ar more cheaper.
Transportation - App "InDrive"" , is like Uber , with fair prices. ( 4 euro from Medina to Airport). Because the app is not legal , the driver will contact you on whatsup and give you a place to meet.
Tip: If u visit Essouira , avoid fish sellers who cook the fish for you. The fish is not allways fresh and the prices ar high.
For Revolut users, you'll find Al Barid Bank ATm - no fees.

What a truly amazing city.
What a truly amazing city. It's busy its bustling but it's safe, clean and friendly.
On day one a friendly local could tell we didn't know the city and directed us to the centre, on the way another showed us where to walk and gave us some local words to use (thank you in arabic).
Yes the shop owners can be pushy but if you say no thankyou they accept it and go to the next passing tourist. If you say you just want to look they let you.
The restaurants are amazing, £50 for a posh meal for 2 with drinks (alcohol easily available) but the best food is actually the £10 meals were just as good if not better.
I think its the perfect place for a holiday and would go again tomorrow.

Marrakech is an incredible city with so much to see & do.
Marrakech is an incredible city with so much to see & do. The Medina is amazing & the people are very friendly & helpful. We stayed in a great Riad (Azia) in a peaceful location with a good local restaurant, boulangerie & shops. The staff were fantastic & couldn't have made us more welcome. We will definitely be visiting again.
The Riad is very well decorated and has 5 star styling.
Zak the hotel manager was really helpful our entire trip. He arranged taxis for us and was always welcoming on our return to the Riad. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. We had breakfast on the roof every morning which was lovely. Very clean rooms and enjoyable stay. I saw another review saying the lighting to the Riad was poor, the city must have done something as the street was very well lit! Close to the souks.
One the best hotel in Marrakech the location, service, breakfast and staff all are 5 stars i had to print my boarding pass and they helped me to print out as well.
All shops and restaurants are just nearby and Marrakech Train Station is Just 5 minutes walk.
The hotel is in very nice, clean and safe area which feels more comfortable to walk even in the evening and the famous market is Jemaa Lfna is just 8 minutes in taxi.
I will definitely stay again whenever i visit Marrakech.
The Savoy Le Grand is a modern comfortable hotel worthy of its 5 stars. It's located next to the Menara Mall, which is convenient if you want a coffee or snack outside the hotel, and it's an easy 15-20 min walk to the Jemaa el Fna square. The staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful (thank you Lamya), as were the restaurant staff at breakfast. The choice at breakfast is excellent and the service very good.
This hotel has made our Morocco trip unforgettable. It was an unique experience, just like visiting long time friends who live in a beautiful home in Marrakech. We had the best suggestions from the hotel owners, our dinner reservations were made by them and a wonderful breakfast was waiting for us each morning so all we had to do was to enjoy our vacation. We will certainly be back.
All the staff were very accomadating, never have I ever experienced this even in a 5 star hotel. The manager - Hamisa was outstanding! We also had lots of support from the staff person Achraf as he was able to help translate from French to english. It felt like a big family and being one of our own. Also want to give thanks to Yousef who was able to accomadating our needs.
Dar Zemora was a Little piece of heaven about 10-15 minutes from the Medina. beautiful landscape, amazing staff who treated us like queens and amazing 5 Star food. We were also lucky to witness a frog concert. Apparently, March is madding season. I would highly recommend this hotel for families and couples. The natural aroma throughout the hotel was also captivating.
This hotel gives you real authentic and Moroccan experience with beautiful local interior design, friendly and professional staff and clean environment. They are welcoming you with Morocco tea and sweets and helping you in anyway to feel comfortable and safe. Location is central and amazing and close to every tourist site. I already booked this hotel for my next trip
Our room was comfortable, actually the most comfortable beds we slept on during our stay in Morocco.
However, the space was tight as there were 5 of us.
We only stayed 1 night and it was nice.
The hotel location is in a slightly secluded area but within a couple of minutes walk to a busy street with bars, shops and eating places.
The staff were nice and helpful.
Mr. Lahcen helped us very well and guided us well. He is very nice and helpful person. He really does his job well. It was beyond our expectations. This is definitely a hotel for families with children. Restaurant, breakfast and bar you can enjoy culinear food. pools are warm. everyone is with smile and very nice. This hotel deserves 5 star
The property is really nice, way better than a normal hotel. From the moment you step inside, it makes you feel like you’re in Morocco. The staff is really helpful, they made my stay amazing. They are quick to reply, flexible and always happy to help.
We had an amazing experience. The staff was phenomenal and highly professional. My family had a good time and we plan to return. We visited couple all inclusive hotels in Marakesh and this one is the best. Thank you for the amazing experience! Bravo
Everything was good, from checking in to checking out. Lovely staff good selection for breakfast. Would recommend this hotel. Safe family hotel. Very good location. Next to the mall. Everything is near by central location. And 5 star.
excellent location, a couple of minutes from the square. The room has everything you need, a good shower. This was our first experience in a riad, we did not expect a 5 star hotel, so we are completely satisfied
this is my 2nd visit. it’s absolutely spotless, staff are very attentive. I loved the vibe of the riad and felt like I was in Morocco and not a 5 star hotel in any other country
The best hotel ive stayed, service was amazing, Jamal helped me with all the requests i had, i will for sure be back and recommend it to everyone, 5 star hotel
