I stayed three nights and that was perfect length to do a trip outside and see the city and castle and try some fresh grilled fish on the restaurants. Go to Setubal to experience a little rough side of Portugal for budget travellers it is also less expensive than many other cities in Portugal. For golfers stay in Setubal, Troia Island were very sleepy after 18.00.

I must admit, I'm torn between sharing the secret of Setúbal's beauty and wanting to keep this gem all to myself. The stunning beaches, delectable food, breathtaking views, and warm-hearted locals are like treasures I'd like to hoard. However, if you decide to visit Setúbal, just savor the experience as I do every time I'm there, and you'll understand why I'm so reluctant to let go of this hidden paradise.

Check was really easy.
Check was really easy. Entrance hall is nice but room lacked some soul- no pictures or colour etc. Shower was tired but it was clean. Slightly out of town, and up a hill, we were fine as fit bit disabilities might struggle. It did the job as it was a 1 night stop off.

Anyone driving to Setubal needs to know that they have recently introduced a zonal parking system and there is little long stay parking available.
Apart from this we found Setubal to be a beautiful City with loads of lovely parks, riverside promenades, narrow streets with plenty of small squares and a surprising amount of street entertainment, including fire-eaters. On top of this the nearby Beaches are outstanding

The hotel was far enough away to be quiet and had a rural feel. Access to the main road very easy for travelling.. Setúbal has a nice seaside atmosphere with a good variety of places to eat.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Close to Lisbon, so a nice short side stay in a quieter town. We arrived by Uber at a cost of $40 euro. Very walkable to the harbour. Easy to take the catamaran ferry to the island beach as there are staff at the booth to purchase tickets ($8.80 euro includes free return). We even saw dolphins on our way back to Setubal from the island!
The city has a nice selection of seafood restaurants along the harbour. We felt safe walking to and from our hotel and around town.
If you love cats, there were several on the streets at dusk while we were there. They are fed by locals so are not a bother.
The train to Lisbon is in the heart of the city and we had help buying tickets from the machine which was helpful as the staffed booth was closed the day we travelled back to Lisbon.
The town appears to be and 'up and coming' destination place so check it out before it gets too busy!
We are left this hotel super inspired by both the interior design, decoration and service. The room was romanticly decorated with high ceilings, the bed was crispy clean and very comfy. You can not ask for a better location If you come by car, the parking is just outside. The guest house has an inviting, both soft and cool vibe at the same time. The staff is very professional and highly service-minded. Are you passing by Setubal, this is a place to stay and get treated like a very valued "guest".
I liked the room (very generous size) and the breakfast (relatively good variety but not good quality when compared to other 4 stars) but I didn't love it.
In a region with so many high quality products, the products presented were very industrial. There wasn't even a good variety of bread, just white bread, unhealthy.
I expected more from a 4-star hotel, especially in Portugal. I don't have particularly good things to point out.
Second time we stay at Cafofos da Zeta. The location is as best as you can get in Setubal, walking distance to restaurant, bars and cafes and a very short car ride to the beach.
The apartment w newly renovated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner is very helpful and friendly, will definitely go back.
The room was very comfortable with both a sitting area inside and a balcony overlooking the vineyard. The queen canopy bed was extremely comfortable with excellent pillows and linens. I also enjoyed the claw foot soaking tub in the very large bathroom. This room and hotel exceeded my expectations.
My family enjoyed this property and could not be happier with our stay. Liseta made everything easy and provided ideas for things to do and see around the area. The apartment is in a great location and was a perfect start to our Portugal vacation. We would definitely stay at Cafofos da Zeta again.
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety and even a gluten free option for my daughter which was a plus!
The rooms have a good size and the shower is good, not being great.
The location is excellent, in one of Setubal's main avenue and within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Hotel is easily within walking distance of the city centre and main places to visit. It is also quite close to bus and train stations. Hotel is also very quiet, so nights are not noisy at all. Staff are nice, and included breakfast is quite decent.
Me and my family loved the stay at Casa70.
The room was nice and clean. It was also close enough to everywhere we wanted to see.
Mr Luis, our host was amazing! Very kind, full of passion and information to share about Setúbal.
Good location for visiting the area. Very clean. Helpful staff. Comfortable. Quiet. Elevator. Coffee/tea in the room, and refrigerator. Some parking in front of the hotel. Many restaurants close by.
Location was marvelous right off the Prada do Bocage in Setubal. Within a few steps, you can get lost in the colorful walking streets of the old town. Restaurants were good and close by.
The hotel is beautifully restored and very original. It was comfortable and very tasteful. Exceeded our expectations. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff
The flat is very beautiful, beds are very comfortable and the position is close to Setúbal center.
Excellent solution for few days off in Portugal, thanks again Tatiane.
