The location was great, right on the main street in Fort Bragg, so getting around was super easy. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff were really friendly. The room itself was nice, with comfy beds and a well-working AC, which made the stay pretty comfortable.

Fort Bragg has always been one of my favorite coastal towns. I have been visiting here since I was a kid. The last few years the downtown has improved with alot of new businesses and there are alot of places to walk, state parks to visit. This was our 2nd Christmas spent in Ft. Bragg - the first being 25 years ago! We had 3 great meals - Dinners at The Wharf & Noyo River Grill and breakfast at Eggheads with its Wizard-of-Oz-themed menu. We visited Glass Beach with gorgeous Pacific views of the wild NoCal coastline, the Glass Beach museum, walked through the quaint and historic olde town Ft. Bragg, and the amazing botanical gardens! (though it was winter and not much color - still a must do!) We of course did go to Mendocino, too.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Unfortunately we did not have good weather and even extended our trip for a day to avoid driving in the storm....On the day we departed the weather was beautiful! With the departure of the lumber and fishing industries, FB is now a tourist community. The scenery is beautiful! The weather is cool and often foggy close to the shore. Our favorite place for breakfast is David's Deli....Many great places for other meals. Be sure to visit the small outdoor restauranta along the Noyo harbor. Visit glass beach and walk the coastal trail. North Coast Brewery isa must visit location.

Fort Bragg is always a treat to my family.
Fort Bragg is always a treat to my family. We love the ocean and the gorgeous coastline . Tide pooling along the coast and visiting McKerricher State park are among our favorite things. The food and restaurants are great. We love D'Aurelios for Italian Dinner and The Laurel Street Deli for Breakfast . For great coffee and a snack our go to is Headlands The Botanical Gardens are a must when we stay.The beautiful and serene walks with basically a living encyclopedia for native plants. New bar called Tall Guy Brewing on Franklin street was very fun and had great live music.

It is definitely dated, but still very cozy, quaint and the views from my King room with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. The indoor pool was a nice treat that I used every night I was there. The grounds were very clean , all the trees and hedges were in very good shape. I arrived apprehensive do to many other trips to fort bragg hotels but was very happy when we saw the room . I will be making more trips there and will stay at Surf Motel if they have a room for us. The motel clerk is very nice and the front area is very clean.

Having coffee/tea available in the lobby was great as well. We enjoyed the indoor pool/hot tub the most. Especially since it was chilly outside. The breakfast was great also. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back the next time we visit Fort Bragg.

The view of Pudding Creek is pleasant and the historic Trestle Bridge is right across the highway. You can either take the short walk there or drive over and park in the public lot. We were so glad that we did not stay at the hotel right on the beach near the the Trestle Bridge because it was not as private. Sunset is the perfect time to walk the bridge...Carol S. You have a porch with chairs on the bluff overlooking the Pacific. There is a popular walking path right there that goes over a trestle converted to pedestrian traffic. The gentleman checked us in was professional but very nice. He recommended great restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Mendocino has the name but this place is better.
