It would have been appreciated if we were told that the hotel is in a high crime area with many homeless people in the surrounding area. After our luggage was stolen and we looked around the area by ourselves we found the adjacent property was frequented by homeless people and one very nice local business owner (that assisted us in our search) said the crime in the area was high and there has been many homeless people wandering around the area.
The desk clerk was not helpful at all and was asked several times about video footage which she said there was none and when told we saw cameras in the area she then said maintenance has footage but we don't.

The hotel was terrible, service was terrible, they advertise a breakfast but didnt have it and according to other reviews, havent had it for a long time. a blatant lie. Unbelievable. Had to ask over and over agsin for 1 and a half hours to get a blanket fot the bed. The tub was dirty. There was nothing but conditioner in the bathroom. No shampoo. No lotion. Staff almost non existent

If your a local the owner doesn't want your business.
If your a local the owner doesn't want your business.
Have reported the behavior of singling out high deposits for room that was prepaid to only NM Attorney General.
Staff is paid by owner, so they did their best to serve under the owners wishes to not have locals stay in the facility.Owner management may be doing illegal credit card charges to cover deposits that your company provides to a fully booked &paid for room. My room cost billed was $340.00 for a $109.00 room without taxes.
? WouldIhave been rejected from a paid for resevered room if my credit card had been used for other trip expenses and didn't have the extra creditablity for this local only deposit cap?

Las Cruces NM is an amazing place.
Las Cruces NM is an amazing place. It's actually in southern parts of the state, which means it's more tropical and has more palm trees everywhere. You don't see that in upstate NM. Love the palm trees everywhere.

The pool was empty. It was a major reason for booking.
The pool was empty. It was a major reason for booking. One of the beds had urine on it. Call them at ten forty five, did not get into a new room until twelve thirty five. Was traveling with a five and a seven year old, and it was horrible having to wait that long. Would never recommend this place.

This property is awful. Not up to La Quinta fine standards.
This property is awful. Not up to La Quinta fine standards. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and stressed about the property and the issues we faced. Corporate needs to know about this property and it’s poor condition
I like the location; it is away from I-10 , the trains, and the seedy side of Las Cruces. The front desk clerk, Hayden, was very friendly and helpful . My room was exceptionally clean. I seldom see that at a hotel. The bedding was very comfortable, with a clean fresh smell. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all in dispensers on the wall inside the shower, which is so much more convenient that tiny bottles. They were all Dove products, which leave my hair and skin clean and healthy. I like the full size refrigerator and freezer.
The host was exemplary, offering assistance with car and available to troubleshoot. It was easy to contact hosts for help. The house was spacious and secure. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe.
The patio was lovely in the sun. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, kitchen tools, glasses, and mugs. The garage was a perfect entry and exit. The TV worked well for streaming and the couch was comfortable. Bedroom lamps were great with usb ports.

The Lundeen Inn of the Arts is wonderful. Linda Lundeen is charismatic and her generosity of spirit brings grace and effervescence to the Inn. Her daughter, Lydia, is lovely and takes special care of the guests without being intrusive. My husband and I have stayed at the Inn several times when traveling through Las Cruces. We love the rooms, the gardens, the tranquility. Our dogs always enjoy their stay!
The room was very comfortable, which I have come to expect from Marriott properties.
A "bad news/good news" aspect of this location is that one side of the hotel is directly adjacent to a freeway. Since we were placed in a room on "that side", we found that the noise level wasn't too bad unless an emergency vehicle or loud truck passed by. Generally speaking the traffic was light in the evening hours.
This is an older Best Western that is in marvelous condition. Everything about this place is what a hotel should be. The check-in area, rooms, the morning breakfast, and the swimming area and the huge trees that are within and around this place make you feel at home. I wish all hotels were like this one. Just marvelous. Oh! (And the staff here cares.)
We have always stayed here when we travel to las cruces for softball and usually have a good experience. Room we stayed at this time was dirty. Bathroom dirty. Walls dirty. Looked like door had been previously busted down. A/c did not work. Hotel was full so they couldn’t move us and told us they would give us a discount and never did.
I really enjoyed the country location that was fairly close to Las Cruces. I enjoyed my drive through the countryside to arrive at the rental. The Shower Sauna room was awesome! I also enjoyed eating an evening meal at the TexMex restaurant in the nearby Dona Ana.
Growing up in Las Cruces I've always wanted to stay at this hotel! The garden and pool area make you feel like your a rich notable and are very well maintained. After a long day in dusty LC, you'll appreciate the oasis.
Check in was easy and location of hotel was great for our needs. beautiful floors in bedroom and bathroom. Room was cheaper than others hotels in area but over not worth over $200 a night.
We had to travel on New Year's Eve for a family emergency. Finding a pet friendly, reasonable hotel on New Year's Eve can be a challenge. The Royal Host was exactly what we wanted.
