A cosmopolitan city that has decreased in quality over the years. It has plenty of activities to do for all types of travelers. The enviroment is not the best one and the service is not very good. Highly recommended for a first time visit, not that so for a second or third time.

Nice places and nice people. Been walking a lot since there is so much to do. Would have loved to stay a bit more but every good stuff has an end eventually. Was the first time for us visiting the east coast os the US and first time in New York. Not disappointed at all !! plenty of stuffs to visit which I feel are mandatory (statue of liberty, empire State building) It is pretty expensive for the record (so think about the city pass before going there) and there are also plenty of things to visit which are free.

We stayed for a week and crammed in as much as we possibly could, yet still felt there was more we wanted to see and do. The city that sleeps is every bit as vibrant and iconic as it appears in films. Staying here first-hand confirms that all of the songs written about it are telling nothing but the truth.

NYC is a great place to visit- so much to see and do.

NYC is a great place to visit- so much to see and do. Would recommend a hop-on, hop-off service (use the nationally advertised ones for best bet) but even a walking/subway tour could keep you busy for days! Great museum, fantastic food, fun night life, lots of family activities and more! Our favorite place is always Times Square!

I loved the museums and the amount of things to do, but the smell of urine in the city was not nice. People take their dogs to pee on everything because green space is limited at best. I saw many homeless and that seemed to be the norm for a big town like this. I also have to note that marijuana is legal and people stand on the street and smoke it. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed with the smell everywhere of different things, but it is a big city. Transportation in the subway was great and easy to follow but you better be in shape because it is a ton of stairs and walking. I couldn't get to understand the bus situation but would have liked to. The city never sleeps and I found that hard to adjust to, they honk their horns every second and often. I am from a large city and the honking is really a New York thing. We ate at a place called Norma, it was Italian, and very good. If you cannot find food in New York then you are not looking. There is all different types of food on every block and its very convenient. I enjoyed how the places to eat mostly had outside seating and I enjoyed sitting and taking it all in. China Town had the best food in my opinion and it was inexpensive. I never got to Central Park so next time I would like to do that.

beautiful city! If you have the time to visit, go. Be sure to bring good walking shoes because you walk a lot... The Wallace is in an excellent location just off Broadway. We walked to the MET through Central Park and used the nearby subway station to access the 1 and 2 lines that go through the theatre district and all way down to the bottom of Manhattan. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but several breakfast and dinner places only meters away. Two of New York’s best food shops are also just around the corner. The hotel is friendly but low key, with new, good sized and very comfortable rooms. I will be recommending it to friends and family.

Small hotel with all of the basic amenities in a fantastic location and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very small, but well planned out and the bed was very comfortable. It is walking distance to Times Square, the Metro and Penn station. we went for a long weekend to enjoy NYC, and did not have to take uber/lyft even once to get around anywhere in Manhattan. This is the place to stay if you are looking for a small, friendly, comfortable place to stay near Times Square, without the luxuries of larger hotels.

My recent stay was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Hotel Manager Allen. The overall cleanliness and warm atmosphere of the hotel made for a memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square to anyone visiting New York, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Hotel staff reacted and responded well to initial problems: luggage not brought up to our room after repeated attempts to get them to do so and initial room too small for us. We were offered different, more spacious corner room with great Times Square views, but even then, had to move luggage ourselves, even though we were told it would be taken care off. Partial refund offered, which was appreciated. Location unbeateable for Times Square area and transportation options to rest of Manhattan and beyond.

It is in a great location. A couple of blocks away from Times Square and the subway station. We had the room with a city view, which made it a little bit nicer. The bathroom was very nice. Rooms are not that big, but enough to be comfortable. The hotel has a bar on the first floor, so was great to have some drinks at night. Breakfast was awesome! It had a lot of healthy options and the room was big so you could sit fast. A great hotel to enjoy New York City!

If you want to be near Times Square without being smack bang in Times Square, this hotel is a good option. Also near Central Park. Hotel was nice, not quite the same cookie cutter experience as with a lot of the chain hotels which is always a refreshing experience . Rooms were spacious enough and had good amenities. Liked having the ice water available in the lobby to keep hydrated. Got a discount voucher for a restaurant nearby.

You can’t deny the location is excellent if you want to be central and close to Times Square and all it’s activity. There are 100’s of restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel and the subway is just a short walk if you’re looking for adventure and being whisked around the city efficiently and cheaply. Also within the hotel there are many original art deco features which is always nice to see if you like that kind of thing.

This a great hotel and has a fab location with great views. It is really close to 23st metro and we walked to the rail station and Greenwich village and Empire State with ease and Times Square is not too far. We had an amazing view of Empire State. The rooms are what you would expect for big city central (Manhattan). Small but well organised and comfortable and very clean. Really friendly staff.

My expectations were very low. This is by far the least expensive hotel available in New York City (at least a "regular" hotel - I knew there was a shared bathroom. It was clean and functional - and it was a regular toilet/bathroom - just not for my own private use. I was there for only a short night - and very pleased with what I got for my money.
