The room was great and the view was amazing. We went to the hotel restaurant's breakfast buffet twice and it was great. We also went to the extremely fancy french restaurant on the top floor and it was superlative. And the upscale sushi restaurant tucked away on the second floor just outside the hotel is extraordinary.
Renovated in December 2015, Tobu Hotel is a 7-minute walk from JR Shibuya Train Station and is located at the center of popular Shibuya area.

Fantastic location between Shibuya and Harajuku on Koen Dori. Surprisingly quiet at night as it is on the edge of the commercial district near a school and a residential area, but easy to walk down into the hubbub of Shibuya. You do have to cross the famous Shibuya Scramble to get here from the station. Easy walks uphill to Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine or to the Omotesando and Aoyama.
A stone's throw from a plethora of food options, but it was still nice to have a cafe on the ground floor for the occasional quick espresso drink!
I enjoy the old-school Tobu hotel building and decorations, feel like I'm in the nineties.
