I booked this hotel for my husband's birthday as he was traveling during this time. The hotel left him a birthday message and a cake which was really kind. He said the facility was relaxing, clean and the staff was very friendly. The nearby beach was nice, too!

The staff are Apsalute legends and the owner himself what great guy, shared there dinner with me one night, very polite and more than helpful. Can't forget to mention the guy on reception Mac what a top bloke even lent me his bike for the morning so I didn't have to wait in reception before I could check in. Can't recommend this hotel enough!

I had a really great stay at Aslan Boutique Apartments. I stayed for one week and everything was perfect. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The location is very good – close to everything in Patong. The manager was very friendly and took good care of everything. You really feel welcome here. It’s a GREAT place to stay as it’s outstanding most facilities on all important points; it’s clean, has a balcony, great water pressure in the shower, it’s pretty silent inside… and on top of all that, the staff is kind and will take very good care. Specifically the receptionist will give you advise, support and care. You can easily get a beach towel, it’s a short walk to the beach, 7 eleven close by (also new and large), it’s close to a great food market too. Across the street, Dome Restaurant will provide you with breakfast and great cappuccino’s!

The hosts and staff were so friendly and accommodating from day 1. They were always happy to chat and giving good tips. Neatly designed rooms and flexible booking policy (during low season). I ended up staying here for 2-3 weeks on an ad-hoc basis. Close to the beach as well as the more local spots and restaurants, which worked great for us.

Idyllic Island of International Fame

Thailand’s largest island, Phuket has a mountainous landscape leading down to lush, green palms, warm, turquoise seas and soft, golden sands. Patong is its most developed resort and is well known for outrageous nightlife. There are lots of clubs, bars and restaurants in the main town and it also has a fantastic beach lined with hotels and resorts.

To the south is Karon, home to the 2nd largest beach and offshore coral reefs that are good for snorkelling. Quieter Kamala also has coral reefs and good surfing conditions, as do the curved beaches at Kata.

The island’s airport is in the north and there are lots of Phuket hotels near the airport in Mai Khao and Nai Yang, where sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. In Bangtao to the south there is a great range of Phuket hotels with private pools on Booking.com, while around the corner in exclusive Surin there are often typical Thai long boats bobbing up and down in the rolling waves.

On the other side of the island Chalong has an impressive Buddhist temple and is a popular spot for kitesurfing. Neighbouring Panwa has shallow water coral and the Phuket Aquarium to explore. The Phi Phi islands are off Phuket’s eastern shores and their idyllic scenery makes wonderful day trips.

Fantastic location, peaceful, feels very calm and private and with direct access to the beach. The restaurant serves delicious food, the staff is super friendly, and the main beach with all the street food and massage stalls is just a five minute walk away. On our check out day we booked a taxi to pick us up at 6:30am but the driver had some sort of problem and didn't come, so the lady drove us there herself!

Patong Beach is acceptable - but compared to Kamala Beach...

Patong Beach is acceptable - but compared to Kamala Beach nearby, it's not as beautiful and delightful. Patong is a mix of Benidorm, Sunny Beach and Pattaya - terrible and extremely noisy town!

Phuket is an international destination and a definite bucket...

Phuket is an international destination and a definite bucket list. It has everything to offer - from nightlife to island hopping. Just know what kind of travelers you are. If you are young, hip and want crazy party and nightlife then stay in the Patong area. If you are family and enjoy quiet, culture and beaches - then stay in the Mai Khao area. There are wide ranges of activities to do for everyone.

What I would like to comment on is how Booking.com has...

What I would like to comment on is how Booking.com has disappointed and disgusted me . I booked a oneway flight from Phuket to my home Melbourne. There were two direct flight options -Qantas , and Jetstar. Jetstar is known for being totally "cattle-class" , so even though the Qantas ticket was twice the price I booked it for comfort $909AUD as opposed to the Jetstar price of around $400AUD. When I arrived at Phuket airport checkin I was told that Qantas doesn't fly out of Phuket !!!wtf! There was only the Jetstar flight and I was listed on it . As expected , the seats were terrible . I stood up to avoid the back pain. I arrived really tired and angry . I could have saved nearly $500 , and booking.com refuses to do anything about it even I booked the ticket through them . They owe me a full refund for the price difference . I feel that they behaved fraudulently . The ticketing should have explained that there was no advantage in booking Qantas because there was no actual Qantas flight . I am left with a very bad opinion of Booking.com ....I will not use them again

It's a lovely beach to swim and to watch the sunset.

It's a lovely beach to swim and to watch the sunset. We ate at some seafood cafes and the Coffee Club also had a good menu, but the Glow Mira Hotel had Chen's restaurant where you could eat at different places from the pool, the restaurant or up at Halos rooftop bar. The menu with cocktails was very extensive. Cars and Taxis are everywhere and of course Tuk Tuks and the 100 Baht bus which you can catch to most of the towns in Phuket. Parasailing, swimming and snorkeling is all over and go-kart tracks are a fun holiday pastime

Very nice beach.

Very nice beach. Have sunbeds options and towel area; good vibes, good restaurant and smoothies options; the water is good for children. Some entertaining on the beach options. Fantasea and Carnival - 1 km walk. Good nightmarket in the area.

An extreme beautiful beach but it's getting more and more polluted day by day, the most painful part is that nobody cares.Beach is full of plastic bottles and all kind of garbage everywhere.How it's possible to welcome millions of tourist without having public garbage bins.Shame of Thai government.

The rooms are a little on the smaller side, but they’re comfortable, and the bed provides a good night’s sleep. The location in Naiyang truly couldn’t be better—it’s absolutely perfect. Step straight out onto the beach, where the Sea Almond restaurant is just a one-minute walk along the sand for beachfront dining. Head out to the street and you’ll find a 7-Eleven directly opposite, adding to the convenience. You’re right in the heart of this beautiful, laid-back hidden gem.

Rawai beach is not for swimming or sunbathing.

Rawai beach is not for swimming or sunbathing. There are loads of long boats anchored there and apparently the sand under the water is quite muddy. It's pretty to look at with all the boats lined up and there a few shops down there selling all sorts of things . There's also a lot of fish eating places just off the beach, you pick what you want and it's cooked for you.

A gorgeous beach..very shallow and quite rocky at times but...

A gorgeous beach..very shallow and quite rocky at times but lovely to dip in to cool off whilst lounging under the beautiful shade of one of the hotel trees nearby. You can walk the beach to the nearest 711 for supplies, maybe a lovely 10 minute walk.

the beach is stunning.

the beach is stunning. I travelled around a lot of the islands and it was one of the nicest beaches I found. It was so quiet apart from the area on the beach by the airport . The low flying aeroplanes were amazing to see
