I will start with most important thing - breakfast! It was gorgeous! The organic yoghurt that they have is best I've ever tried, and selection itself is very generous and broad. Like omelet, sausages, coffee, tea, buns, salads, very good. But the yoghurt, it was so good it was main part of my breakfast with some berries and flakes. The room itself is modern and super clean. Impeccable bathroom with bathtub. Our room faced the inner yard, and although it's where the guests are walking on ground floor and we were on second, it was pretty quiet and good sleep. Place itself is very well located in my opinion, right beside some points of interest of Prague, and everything is easily reachable by walking.

It is really difficult to distinguish which aspect of the hotel was the star of the show - literally, everything was a 10! Starting from the greeting at the reception during the check in, the room and the plenty of amenities (plus the advent gift upon arrival 😉), the bed and the pillows (oh, the bed and the pillows), the tech in the room, the structure and size of the room, the location of the hotel, the amazing breakfast (at a great price, mind you - it gave a stiff competition to other breakfast / brunch places), the location of the hotel (not exactly where the noise was, but just a comfortable unnoticed walk away), the staff OF COURSE, let's not forget the amazing people there who were helpful, cheerful and made you feel like home; even the ride from and to the airport they offered was great. I mean, everything was perfect and, great value for money - undoubtedly. Really happy we found this gem and we are returning for sure during our next visit to Prague. Thank you all guys, you were great! P.S.: Bonus: the amazing bar and its excellent signature cocktails!

Amazing hotel !!! It’s right next to a mall with plenty of restaurants and shops. I used Uber to commute to tourist places (old town etc), and it was very affordable. They serve a wide variety of dishes for breakfast. Tram stop is next to the hotel, liben train station is also walkable distance.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

Airport arrivals for UK flights is horrendous!!

Airport arrivals for UK flights is horrendous!! So badly organised so expect anything upwards of 1hr 30mins from disembarking to going through passport control ... Prague itself is beautiful and the transport system beyond the airport is spotless and slick!

Prague is such a beautiful city.

Prague is such a beautiful city. I walked around without using Google Maps because I wanted to enjoy the atmosphere and explore the city on my own. I was amazed to find that even the architecture in less famous areas was beautiful. I traveled alone, and everyone I met was so kind and friendly. I truly fell in love with this city. I also highly recommend visiting Prague Chocolate Steiner & Kovarik near old town. They have so many different chocolates to taste, the staff is very friendly, and most importantly, the chocolate is absolutely delicious! It’s also a great place to buy souvenirs for friends and family.

Compared to other major European cities, Prague still excels in value for money. Efficient ever-present public transport system. Clean city that did not feel like it suffered from summer over-tourism crowds that plagues other destinations. A gentle 1 hour cruise on the River Vltava is a must, as is the hourly parade of apostles above the astronomical clock (Praha orloj). The one let-down was the Lennon Wall, whose historical significance of the stance for the country's freedom has been enslaved by desecrating litter of mindless, talentless self-serving scribble and pointless stickers.

The best locations in Prague only 5 minutes walking distance to old town square, 15 minutes walking to Charles bridge, 15 minutes walking to the riverboats cruise and restaurants, bars, cafes, terraces open until midnight and only 5 minutes walking from the hotel, breakfast buffet lots of choices, restaurants served quality food, hotel staffs are helpful and friendly they even prolonged our checkout till 2pm for free instead of 12 because our flight are around 6pm

Very nice hotel. We opted for the economy double rooms. Whilst they weren't amazing looking or luxurious, they were spacious and clean and very well presented, especially for the cheap price. The member of staff at reception was exceptional. Extremely polite and helpful and went out of his way to help us out. He was a credit to the company. Very good location just 10 minutes walk from the main old town square. I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget.

The location is the best in Prague in the midddle of the old town square which is pedestrian with lots of restaurants and most importantly absolutely opposite the world famous clock. After a long day of sight seeing we would have a glass of wine in our hands and watch the clock chime from the comfort of the Grand Hotel Prague's gorgeous lounge. A sight that absolutely must not be missed.

The location is very good for visiting Prague for a few days and the hotel is very clean. If the price was lower for my stay I would have left with a more positive frame of mind. Old town square is walkable in about 15/20 mins depending on your speed, metro close by less than 10 mins walk and an abundance of tram lines to get you around.
